We are a 100 year program. We were collecting a pension when the Toledo Rocket Program was in diapers. We may have even been playing FB at Temple before anyone even drew up the plans for a Bob Evans in Maumee.

Ha, ha. You know I was making a joke, even though it was true.


Toledo hasn't been around as long, only playing football since 1917. However, we have won 13 conference championships (10 of them since we joined the MAC), played in 10 major bowl games (winning 8 of them), and won 447 games all-time.

Temple, despite playing football 23 years before Toledo, has won 1 conference championship, gone to just two major bowls (going 1-1), and won just 393 games all-time.


Temple has had 3 winning seasons since 1980. Toledo has had 12 straight winning seasons and 21 winning seasons since 1980 (a 26 year span).


So don't start the crap about being a 100 year program. In 14 years I can say the same thing about Toledo being a 100 year program and have much better statistics to go with it.

When you play Toledo I hope you and several Temple fans do come up. Don't think it will happen for a few years though.


And I would be wanting payback on Bowling Green if I were you, not Toledo. BG is in the same division that Temple will be in, and they blasted you two years in a row. Something like 70-14 and 70-7 if I remember correctly.

Most MAC schools not only get players that are getting interest from BCS schools, but players that are also getting offers from BCS schools. Congrats, maybe now you will be able to compete with most MAC schools.
