Isn't it tOSU and Iowa?

I hope we don't have any Wed night games this year.
what about our home game?

We will have more then 1 home game, there is a reason LSU was postponed until 2011.

Iowa isn't even a sure thing yet.
It has been mentioned on here it will be Indiana State. That sounds possible but it is 100% confirmed. I think the problems with the Illinois 1AA teams are they are usually pretty good(at least when they play us) and they ask too much to play them.

Indiana State will be our 1AA team we play at home next year. We are also in talks with other Mid Majors about getting another home game against a 1A team next year.

It is pretty much a done deal that we will be playing at Iowa next year and at Soldier Field the following year. There are also some other very exciting road games in the works for several years down the line. This all is from a very reliable source. I would not post this if it wasn't.

Screw road games down the line. What do we have at HOME down the line(besides Indiana State and some other non-BC$ this year). We don't have much lined up.
Was your source Shatone's girlfriend ?

Yes 01-lauramac2
It would be cool if we had an ACC/Big10 type weekend where its actually like the MAC/WAC challenge. Bring boise state or fresno state into town!!
Even the MWC would be cool to play. If the big boys don't want to play us at home, i say we create some rivalries with the other mid majors!!

I'd prefer a MAC/C-USA tourny, so we can continue to prove our dominance over them.

I don't understand the whole Soldier Field thing with Iowa. Miami University recently played them in Miami as part of a deal they had. Couldn't your AD get Iowa to come to Dekalb? Miami's stadium is probably smaller than your stadium.

SF obviously has a larger capacity for fans and would be close for all NIU and Iowa alums living in the Chicagoland area to attend the game. I could see a lot of NIU alums going to the game that would not if it were played in DeKalb. It also would be a great publicity for NIU to get a game at SF. I would expect the media to be out in full force for the game.

I would also venture to guess that Iowa does not want to play a game in DeKalb based on how we beat up on BCS opponents at Huskie Stadium.
Iowa City is only about a 2.5 hour drive from Dekalb. Less than a 3.5 hour drive for most NIU alums in the Chicago area. Their are a large number of Iowa grads in the Chicago area.

I agree. We are in a different situation than Miami. The large # of Iowa alumni/fans in Chicago along with our fans, Huskie Stadium would be just too small(although preferred IMHO). I can see an attendance of at least 50,000 (possibly more). I just hope we can outnumber the Iowa fans.

Iowa City is 460 miles from Oxford, 222 miles from downtown Chicago.
