I was asked to provide nominations for freshman All-American candidates from the MAC for the FWAA Frosh AA team which I believe is the officially recognized team by the NCAA. Anyway, just passing on the names of the players that I submitted, hope I didn't miss anybody:

Ball State:
P- Chris Miller
LB - Bryan Haines
PR - BJ Hill

Buffalo:
QB - Drew Willy
WR - Brett Hamlin

Central Michigan:
RB - Ontario Sneed
OL - Andrew Hartline

Eastern Michigan:
LB - Daniel Holtzclaw

Northern Illinois:
WR - Britt Davis
OT - Jon Brost
DE - Craig Rusch

Ohio:
DE - Jameson Hartke
LB - Jordan Meyers

Toledo:
TE - John Allen
WR - Nick Moore

Western Michigan:
QB - Tim Hiller
CB - Louis Delmas
DT - Nick Varcadipane

Can't guarantee they will be selected, but at least we know the MAC did get some nominations.

Hiller, Sneed,Haines,Hill,and Miller most definitely.
For NIU, you can throw Larry English on that list - he's a redshirt frosh that only played in our first game in '04.

Its amazing Britt even gets a mention at Freshy all-american from the MAC at WR after not knowing he would be playing WR until a couple weeks before the season started.
I was just looking to see how our punter faired statistically in the nation and I saw Ball States freshman punter Chris Miller (on Dave's list above) was ranked 11th overall and #1 for Freshman Punters. He had a 43.78 average. There are only 2 Freshman in the top 20 and 4 in the top 50.

Nice going Miller. I'd say he has a great chance at the Freshman AA team...Unless the kid from Texas A&M gets it on name recognition.
