Nice Gradkowski picture. Be sure to vote for Toledo to win the game. Right now UTEP is winning the poll 51% to 49% for Toledo.

Very big of you. Nice way to take it out on Toledo when Toledo didn't do anything wrong to NIU. Some of you NIU fans are a classy bunch. Marshall who?

This is the MAC and we are all a part of the MAC. I hope both Toledo and Akron win their bowl games and if NIU goes to a bowl next year I hope they win too.
yup it is big of me, I'm not a kiss@$$ who will do what people think is "proper" I was also rooting against the sux in the baseball season since I'm a Cubs fan. I have no allegience to toledo, as I have no allegience to chicago. I say go akron because if they win they make out losses to them more respectable.
I always pull for MAC teams, especially against CSUCKAZZ.
Yeah NIU got screwed, everyone knows that, even lame BCS driven CFN mentions how we got screwed but thats life in the MAC. As much as I dislike CUSA, if NIU, Toledo, BG or Miami were in this conference they would go bowling almost every year instead of sitting home but we are in the MAC so teams are going to get screwed. So the question is which is better, many bowls or better football. Right now I would say all of the NIU fans would vote for the former. RF don't compare NIU fans to Marshall, they were lame and they got a bowl game every year. NIU fans have had a lot of hard times in recent years. I have lost track how many times this team has broken my heart and last Thursday the only thing I loved was destroyed, now what for us, all we can do is biatch for a few weeks and then come back next year for another season.
I voted for Toledo but they are still losing by two percent. Voted for Akron but they are getting killed. You can also vote for most likely to watch bowl before xmas. I voted for Toledo vs UTEP but they are in third. Still ahead of UCF though :)

So if Toledo won the fact that we destroyed them would make our victory look even better.

So in that regards, wouldn't it be nice to say that you also beat a Toledo team that won their bowl game?

Good Luck Rockets !!!!

Carson Palmer brother is the QB @ UTEP,this will be a tough game. UTEP looked vey fast to me when I saw them on TV..

Any MAC team winning a bowl game makes the conferance better. If MAC teams can consistantly win OOC games vs. good teams and win bowl games, it'll only help the MAC as a whole, which=more bowl opportunities. So unless you want the MAC to look bad and not get anymore bowl tie-ins, then root against UT; but if you want more bowl tie-ins, root for UT.
Unless you believe in "The Force" or any facsimile thereof, it doesn't matter one iota who you root for. Unless you are in the stadium.

FWIW, I root like mad for all MAC teams. Maybe my energy will conduit through the electronic medium and shock the opponent in the ******
I voted for Toledo in the ESPN poll and really hope they do win for the MAC's sake.

One thing for sure, if the Rockets get blown out by UTEP it will show the world what a great injustice them being chosen by the GMAC was- that's a fact.

The whole thing makes you want to believe in karma.

Do we get some kind of trophy for that? But as we all know, Toledo will get run over like they always do in bowl games so it won't really matter.
All the MAC fans who have been bashing the Big East need to remember this situation. It is the Big East who is working with the MAC to start the Toronto Bowl next season. Since there will be 30 bowls in 2006, four extra teams will be going to bowls. Only one extra MAC team is going to be guaranteed, but there will be a trickle down effect because of the new rotating BCS title game taking two more teams away from the other bowls.

Using that logic, every bowl team that loses bad will show that they were not worthy of a bowl bid and it was an injustice that they got a bid!

Get a clue and stop bashing Toledo. If Memphis crushes Akron will you say the same thing about the MAC Champions that beat NIU twice? If Miami bitchslaps Louisville will you say the same thing about Louisville? What if team A beats team B 45-10 in Bowl Game C? Will you say the same about team B?

If so, you are not rationale. If not, you have a very strong bias against Toledo and you look foolish showing it.

Where did you hear that there will be 30 bowl games in 2006?

The true essence of a rivalry 04-bow

RF, if certain posters want to become known for being whiny children, so be it.

Their feelings have been bruised so they're looking to hurt someone else's in an attempt to make themselves feel better. It's rather petty but there's (obviously) no minimum maturity level needed to post here.

So please, if there are any more Huskie fans who wish to publicly change the way everyone looks at them by moaning about Toledo being invited to the GMAC Bowl, go right ahead. Do it in all caps too.

I think many will be scratching their heads saying WTF if the 2nd place MAC West team gets pounced on while the 1st place MAC West team watches it on TV at home. Toledo finished behind NIU in the standings.

Using your A, B, C analogy: Team A finishes #1, Team B finshes #2, only #2 Team B plays UTEP and sh!ts the bed. Everyone then asks "what would #1 Team A have done if they were playing in the game which seemed logical anyway?" That's my point. Is this hard to see through your Rocket lenses?

I will be rooting for Toledo and I sincerely hope they win but by no means am I a Rocket fan. Also, I know Toledo is not to blame for this illogical, unorganized, asinine mess the MAC calls a postseason but it doesn't mean myself or other NIU fans fave to agree with it.

Quit complaining. How is rooting for a team that doesn't deserve a bowl over us "classy"? I'm firmly on the UTEP/Apron train.

Not as nice as it would be to say "See? They didn't deserve to get a bowl bid over NIU after all."
