Where have all you guys been lately? I'm eager to hear more about how UB sucks and how all of the teams they beat suck too.
By the way, this group of sucks is off to the school's best start in about 45 years. Starting 10-1 before conference play begins is a definite possibility. Anything less than 9-2 will be a big disappointment after this start.
Most MAC fans root for their brethren OOC. Chill out, man.

Why do you think the entire MAC is going to bow down to UB? We are off to a good start, let leave it at that. Long season to go in conference. The smack can begin at that point.

Check out the thread "Week 1 Power Rankings & Other hoops stuff, MAC Hoops" for what our conference-mates thought of UB's win over Canisius and the thread "MAC hoops scores/8 games today" for what they thought about UB's win over Detroit.
My favorite part of all this is how Ohio fans suddenly decided Detroit is a world-beater after they realized the Titans are on their schedule.

oh yeah you're right. we just turned the page on the schedule book and saw Detroit sitting there! we had no idea SINCE AUGUST that we were going to play them, especially since we played them in the Bracket Buster last year.

Actually, him and all of these guys are the ones that make UB look bad. I can honestly say that I will forever root against them and wish the worst on their athletics. There are about three or four regular UB posters on here that are pretty good, but the majority of them are some of the worst fans in college.

Ah a toledo fan who still sour grapes about us handling you in the MAC tourney last year.. ( and probably that home loss to NIU tonite too)
And please know that all UB fans are not like zibby.. Last season was amazing and I think earned some respect around the MAC (atleast in bball), but I (as so many fans) realise it was just one year and we need to sta consistent to earn more respect. Also I think most UB fans are over last seasons collapse in the championship game, but jsut reading through these posts in a few threads its actually the OU fans who bring it up the most jsut to keep rubbing it in our face it seems.. we get the point, we lost in probably the worst fashion ever on the biggest stage our prgram has been on to date.. I think you guys need to put it behind you jsut as much as UB fans do (and most have done)

and by "you all" you mean roughly the ten toledo student who came, including the two in jumpsuit, "jason" masks" and crazy wigs.. I dont actualy remember hearing that chant since everything that came out of their 1/4 of a section of seats was drown out by the fans who actually made the trip for their team

even if we would lose every game to UB from here on out :rofl: we will always have that game in Cleveland in March 2005.

regardless of how many UT students were or weren't there, and regardless of whether or not you remember that chant, i heard it and i remembered it! stop now while you're (still) behind.

did i ever say you couldn't piss and moan about that particular game? no. i said your one paranoid schizophrenic fan should give it a rest about THIS YEAR's Bulls team not getting respect. keep up with the conversations.
Its early and UB, Ohio, and Miami are off to good starts. Akron is getting beat at Cal right now and in heavy foul trouble down 35-27 1st have as I post. Ohio has played well but st. Francis and American are a combined 1-10 vs D-1 teams this year. NIU had a win over Depaul (2-3). BGSU beat Va Tech (5-2), EMU beat Cal (4-1). Cal didn't have Powe and anyother guy against EMU and Akron is getting a taste of a full golden bear team tonite, so you can't compare EMU vs Akron. Also this one is on the road.
We will find out soon if Ohio is top 50 or not. Ohio plays @Marist, @Rhode Island, @Cincinnati, Detroit, vs Kentucky in Cincy. If Ohio goes 3-2 against that group of games, I think we will be happy. 2-3 wouldn't be a disaster because we are gonna be huge underdogs vs URI, UC, and Ky. Rhode Island is a bad matchup for Ohio. Our frontline is too small and URI just be Providence. These are perhaps the only three games we are going to be a clear underdog in terms of talent that we play all year. We only would be a underdog due to location and not talent against the other teams on the schedule. These three have size inside that is a huge concern. Not having Tillman puts us at a disadvantage in these game.

Yeah this years teams is promising so far with the whole 6(really 5) - 1 record.. but wedominated OOC play last year ( only losing to defending national champion UCONN I believe) and then went 11-7 in MAC play.. I could easily see us going around .500 in MAC.. these freshmen so far (who have contributed a dcent amount) have no idea how difference conference play is and how much more physical it is.. Im hoping for the best, but I'm a realist.. jsut want to get back to cleveland to the arena formerly known as the Gund
i tend to agree with you in that i think a lot of teams (including Ohio possibly) will be around 12-6/11-7 in MAC action. i know ohio is a heavy favorite but i know, too, that we are marked and that the road in the MAC is a tough, TOUGH place to make a living. we've started strong at 2-0 but against weak competition. the next 3 games will tell a lot about this team. road games always scare me!
i, too, just want to get back to cleveland. i had the time of my life up there last year and not just because of saturday night (which i won't mention!). i LOVE that tournament atmosphere, seeing teams from other schools, fans from other schools, bands from other schools...the whole deal. i just love that sort of thing. march madness in all of its shapes and forms is "way cool!" :)
