42-26 Ohio at the half. 11 for Green, 9 for Halbert,8 Williams & Troutman and 4 assists from Fears. Ohio 9-20 on three's in first half also they outrebounded the eagles 22-11. Good half for Bobcats who never trailed.

Detroit 38, Western Michigan 30 (WMU was down double digits but has scratched back)
kinda surprised UB is a 3.5 point underdog at Niagara; tonight's UA-Cal game should be good! Bobcats' task gets much tougher after today...next week at Marist and at Rhode Island...both teams won today and then at UC after that. UC is fighting Memphis right now. i'm sure the coaches and the team are aware of all of this, though, and will hopefully prepare the guys for the task ahead.

For what little it's worth, this is the same American team that gave #19 Washington a decent game a couple weeks ago before the Huskies pulled away 99-82.
OU now goes to what should be a win at Marist, before playing at Rhode Island (4-1) next Saturday. If we can win both of those, we are in great shape heading into Cincinnati...
If we can win both of these road games I'll be in a great mood. As you know, we've struggled mightily on the road in recent seasons. I would hope that we have finally gotten over that. I'll feel much better when we get past Marist.
Ohio rolls over two teams that beat them last year. This team destroyed American Today. They Bobcats improved on the glass.

I know the MAAC doesn't get any respect around here but Niagara is a good team especially at home. This would be a very good road win for UB since NU is going to put every ounce of energy in this local rivalry game.
Good decisive win I agree.
But since American is 0-5 I'm going to wait a couple more games before I crack open the champagne.
Marist and URI should give us abetter idea of what this team is really made.

I'm not really surprised at this. This is a BIG rivalry game for both teams. Traditionally a very close game regardless of records. Besides that we are playing in their gym.

Niagara is a Nit type team and this would be an impressive win for UB. MAC elite is putting toether some impressive wins so far and they have more chances to enhance the resumes. Good luck Akron tonite. Sending Cal a second loss to the PAC would sway some west coast people opinion on MAC hoops. We don't get many chances to play the pac ten and this would be a marquis win for Akron.

UB up by 5 at halftime after being up by as much as 13. Niagara hit a shot from half-court at the buzzer to pull within 5. :eek:
From the sounds of the crowd, there may be as many UB fans there as Niagara fans.
