Kent State looks like a W today for the MAC. We need UB, Ball State, CMU, and Akron to win over their D-1 opposition today. NIU has a non-division 1 cupcake and having fun today.

EMU getting blowout by 22 to an independent hurts. WMU got beat by 17 to another MVC team. Ohio wins by 16, but was up as much as 25 until the 11th and 12th guys at the end of O'Shea's bench saw action. Another mixed day for the MAC so far.
KSU 82
TX-PANAM 70
Final

Flashes 2-2 on the season and starting to find themselves. A lot of guys played today which is good. Jay Youngblood is starting to emerge as the "go to" guy. Building toward the MAC season!
Toledo (Men) are at SMU on sunday

And tonight the Lady Rockets travel up to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan. A game which i think we can win.
Quote: Buffalo 33 Detroit 33, 17 mins to go in the 2nd half.

Keep the updates coming, as Yahoo is not providing a score for this game at all.
FINAL:

UB 66, Detroit 60

Rod Middleton career-high 22 pts, ALL IN 2nd HALF!
woops
Nice job Bulls!

Meanwhile, the Akron Zips are down by double-digits at home to Youngstown.
Solid win for UB tonite. Detroit is a very good mid-major perhaps 2nd best Horizon league team. They have Cotton who is a great scorer. UB taking care of business vs teams they can and should beat.

Akron is laying a major egg today. This is a bad lost against YSU if that score holds up. YSU got blownout by the same St. Francis team that Ohio handled today. I guess this validates that Ohio being picked ahead of Akron in the preseason polls. 03-wink
Nice win by the Bulls. 04-bow

As for EMU, I am really not surprised. I reviewed their schedule before the season began and could only see 5-6 wins this year which is why the Cal win was so surprising. It's going to be a long year for EMU hoops but I think Ramsey will put the program on the right course. It's tough though with 8 true freshmen on the squad.
OHIO completely handled St. Francis today. 03-nutkick If we kept in the regulars we may have won by 35+, but instead the coach treated it more like an exhibition to get everyone good minutes. Watch out MAC, this team is GOOD!! FANTASTIC win today and many more to come as we run through the schedule.

Next on the menu.....a home game against American next Saturday at 4. BE THERE!!
I was surprised by that EMU score, wtf?

I'm also kind of surprised to see UB off to such a good start. I thought they'd have a tough time this year. That still might happen but it seems they have enough experience left to be a very competitive team. Reggie is the man.

Zips win, 67-62. We're right there with ya, buddy
WOW--You beat a marginal Horizon League team by 5 after a back and forth game. I must say I'm impressed!

On the other hand, Ohio handled a quality St. Francis team that we could have defeated by 40 if we left in the regulars. This is going to be a great year for the 'Cats. Can't wait until we play the Zips and put you in your (second) place. 03-nutkick

GO CATS!!
