1) Only a week ago, Akron was a consensus #1 for a full month. How in the world do you go from a "1" seed to a "3" seed in a week? (Akron's "penalty"? They lost at "1" seed Indiana in OT and tied Buffalo in the MAC final. Geez.)
2) How does Buffalo, who has been ranked in the Top 25 a couple of times in the past month, not get an at-large bid? Especially after tieing the Zips at Akron!
3) New Mexico, which played no more difficult schedule than the Zips, received a "1" seed (#2 overall).

I agree, it's a "MAC thing" not necessarily a Buffalo or Akron thing. UB just happens to be on the short end of the stick lately.

I'd like to see Chryst make some noise about this. But mayb it's better to do it after the tourney...if Akron can pull of a championship, then the MAC can really start bashing the NCAA selection committee.

We have a major problem as a conference, and this one really proves it. We get absolutely 0 respect. If we can't even garner respect in the soccer word, don't count on 2 bids in the dance this year in hoops. This is wrong, and it is unfair to the guys on this team who have accomplished so much this year. I'm sick and tired of this.
This will definitely fire our guys up. If this isn't motivation, I don't know what is.
