It sounds like Omar will be back for the game tomorrow against Miami. I will be pulling for BG to upset Miami tomorrow. I would hate to play Miami again in the MACC (assuming we get there).

I think BG finally pull it together and wins the East. This will be closely followed by NIU taking out UT the following night. What a great week for MAC football. That would be awesome to play BG in the MACC to bring the rivalry back up to speed! 04-rock

From your keyboard to God's eyes.

You probably know our history with Miami ... the Miami Whammy is very real to us and the stars are not exactly lining up in our favor.

Want to stump some of the hardest of hardcore BG fans? Try these two questions ...

1) When was the last time BG beat Miami, at home or away?

2) When was the last time BG won a big conference road game?

I want, hope for and expect a BG victory, but know that the reality is we are 9.5 underdogs for a reason. That being said, I'd love to see the Falcons & Huskies go toe-to-toe at Ford Field.
Bring on the beer at Fatty's tomorrow night and Wednesday night!!! I'll be there!!!

MAC football is so fun to watch!

Kind of sounds like us vs Toledo, but not as bad. I was over at your site and saw some of the numbers. Good luck to you guys. I hope you pull it out.

Do us all a favor too. After we get it done against Toledo, add some insult to injury and wax them as well! 04-rock

For us to play you every year, it needs to be NIU BG in the MACC this year and next year till we renew our regular season rivalry in 2007!

NIU vs BG! 04-bow
I like your thinking!! 04-bow 04-drinky
I'm with u guys. I'm pulling for BG. I gotta give props to them because they are on a roll when it comes to post season bowl games. But, mostly cause I love Omar and his flashy style. 03-wink
I have to cheer for Miami for three reasons

1) It is my older daughter's alma matter

2) Some year (I hope in my lifetime) Miami will win the East and NIU will win the West and the two of us (my daughter and I) will attend the championship game in Detroit. Now that would be a wonderful father/daughter bonding opportunity.

3) It would be nice to kick Miami's ****** twice in one year!
So what are the numbers?
Who ever wins this game is going to have to be able to run the ball. With the weather they predicting all over the state of Ohio its going to be pretty hard throwing the football. And who knows they are predicting bad with in Toledo on tuesday, its going to be alot worse in Oxford.
Even with Omar playing if he takes one hard shot on that shoulder, he may be out again. But we'll see how tough he is.
I am pulling for Miami to win so we can beat them in the MACC because I have a friend who send me emails like this...

50 yard line seats to watch your team kick around a crappy opponent on a gorgeous fall day..................................$12

Gassing up the Ford Focus for the trek to Dekalb with your face painted buddies..................................................$4.50 ea

Ice cold 12 pack of Hamms for the road trip.......................................................................................................$5.99

Having to wash your "Turner" jersey at the laundromat.......................................................................................... 75cents

Joe Novack bobble head doll.............................................................................................................................. Free

Watching your team put up 66 yards against a 1-6 team with the last ranked rushing defense in Div 1A..................... F@CKING PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes you beat Miami and that will be your only frickin thing to be happy about this year. I agree NIU is not that good, and now the entire country knows it!! Savor your Miami moment of beating a team with a hurt QB. Actually that is low just savor it. Miami should go on and be in the MAC Championship game while your team is trying to pirate cable from the neighbor so they can watch it on TV. Oh I was so hoping for a re-match. Yeah Joe Novack "you control your own destiny". The problem is so do CMU and Toledo and they plan to run your big belly all over the field these next two weekends.

So keep the faith you Huskies. Keep old Lacy Underalls (that famous NIU alum) raising money for your new movie theater, or whatever she was pitching from the sidelines of the Miami game. Good grief where did they dig her up from? Keep painting your faces and heating up the Hamburger Helper on Saturdays to watch those games announced by Tom (was Bob Avellini unavailable to announce) Waddle on Comcast sports!

Cheers from a collared shirt wearing, scotch drinking, proud to be MIAMI FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish we could see you all in Detroit on Dec 1. Don't worry should you make it I hear there is a brand new Comfort Inn for you to all stay in!!

Wow, that verges into harshness. Not much respect from old Stan

The great part about clowns is that they always resort to proving just how big of a clown they are. Congratulate your "friend", and ask him how long it takes to get the makeup on his face or if it's permanent like a tattoo.
