Haven't visited this campus near my hometown in over 31 years. It seems like a really nice place.

Some nice pictures! I like how you hung around Central Quad! and MacCracken.... while shoing why Miami truly is the top school in the MAC, and one of the top in the US. Just look at the pictures! (and the ladies!) 04-rock
Nice pitcures. I toured Miami campus when looking at schools. I was accepted to both Miami and Ohio. It was a tough choice as both schools are excellent academic schools. I also toured Kent State too. I was MAC all the way.
I see this is correctly tagged "whatever." Can someone tell me what this is?

Can't help with "whatever" pic... not even sure where that is exactly (since every building looks like that, hehe).

The Miami Field pic shows one of the old ticket booths. They were moved there after Yager was built.
As an educator and a father of a girl, I have to admit that it creeps me out just a wee bit to know that random girls from Miami have their pictures up on the internet without their permission.
I take it your daughter is an attractive young woman? A lot better looking than you? haha just kiddin Dodo.

I have considered that. I do not think I have the right to just take anybodies picture I want to--unlike the news media. The young lady in the black top I actually stopped and talked to to get directions to Yager Stadium. She was very nice and did not seem put off by me taking her picture. She was well aware that I was doing that. If she would have objected, I would have immediately erased them.

I would actually like to discuss this with you. You're the principal of a charter school in GA right? I know you world view is radically different than mine. You believe in the theory of evolution and I believe in the Biblical creation. Still I would like to discuss for mutal benefit, but I refuse to go the way of hostility. I would like to have a civil discussion about this for my own benefit. Just get the conversation going right, what sayest thou about this pic? This was taken a a Coppell/Southlake Carroll Texas HS game last year when I went to shot some pics/video of Miami QB Radabaugh.

I'll bet this girl isn't a day over 15. Appropriate for a photo share site? Appropriate attire for HS football game? Would you let you daughter go out like this?

"Whatever" is a sculpture on the High Street side of Hughes Hall. I think "Whatever" is a pretty accurate description of it. Thing just showed up one day.
Chuck I thought for a minute I had gotten a picture of you, but I have deleted it from my files. It couldn't have been you anyway because I think you are at Duke now?
I took my daughter to MU (Miami) a month ago to look around (she's a high school senior) and I was shocked that she didn't really like it. The campus is beautiful, but the people we ran into, including administrators, were fairly pretentious.

We went to OU 2 weekends ago, and she loved it -- go figure. Now, if I can just figure out how to become an Ohio resident to keep from paying out of state tuition.
Marshall... then you obviously didn't talk to the right people. Most Miamians are very nice, and in fact on my visit, went out of their way to do almost anything you wanted. 03-wink

guys who put up pictures of 15 year old girls on their website are just plain creepy!!!

Congratulations!!!1
Endzone... no offense intended but if you had put up a picture with my sis in it(as the focus...) I'd have hit the fan.
CountryRedHawk I understand that I think. I'll bet your sister doesn't dress like that though, but maybe that's besides the point. Although it's easy for my enemies to criticize me, I'm not some guy who goes to HS and college football games looking to take pictures of teenage girls. Quite honestly I think photo galleries of sporting events that are all just close up shots of the players are kind of boring. Pictures of girls get hit 4 to 5 times as much as other pictures. Other people would seem to agree.

I know that I'm not going to do anything devious with these pictures. I trust myself, but is the problem that somebody else could? What could they do? Copy the picture and then do what with it?

Is age a factor? Here's a pic of what looks like a 3 or 4 year old to me. I think her mother is sitting right next to her. This is from TCU vs. Navy 2003.

To tell you the truth this is a lot of work. I have enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I'm going to do it much anymore. You have to walk around to get good pictures that aren't just shots of the players on the field. Then I have to sort out the best pictures (because I'm always in sequential shooting), process them, reduce them in size and then upload them to my photo share share and finally post a link. When I go to the TCU game today I may just leave my camera at home or just take a few shots.
