I don't lose any sleep agonizing over why certain countries don't like us. Of course, it's easier to sleep when you don't have a bunch of explosions and burning cars outside your window.

That's because a good percentage of their population is here in the States earning lots of money that they return to their homeland.

Latest I heard that story was BS. From what I heard they were just barfing in the stall because of too much alcohol(don't know why they were in one but maybe there was only one). According to a woman who was there they weren't in the right position for that (I was actually wondering how she knew ) and there were no "sounds" to indicate it.

There are a bout 1.8 million Filipinos living in the United States. Many of them are highly educated pjrofessionals (doctors, engineers, etc) working in lower paying non-skill positions here in the United States. Back home, I actually work with a lady who came from a similair situation. She's highly trained, but due to the poor economy was forced to come to the US to find work. Now, she works in our property department.

There's a lot of ties to the US and Chicago here. Yesterday, we met a lady who studied at the Salvation School for Officers Training in Chicago. She's now a minister and an administrator at the Philippines School for Officers Training. A few days earlier, we met a young guy who's family lives in Chicago and he hopes to follow in a year or so.

Perhaps you may someday have second thoughts regarding how some foreign leaders sandwiched between an Islamic-Christian culture clash may view USA and the war in Iraq and the support of Israel if they begin choosing to sell more oil to China at higher prices per barrel and less to USA since Chinese gov subsidizes cost of a gallon of gas for a rapidly expanding consumer market and to the tune of a pump price about $1.00.

Are you prepared to pay the going rates in England and France for a gallon of gasoline and still not care what others see about the policies and culture of the current Ugly American and current Administration ? overweight- spoiled- imperialists......

Those are NOT my views of USA but ones commonly held among politicos/power brokers in Latin America and Middle East . I'm not talking about those allied with the USA for we travel in the same ship around the earth including nations like Phillipinnes which is a US military base and also a hotbed of Muslim extremists. Have you met any of them working in the jungles preparing for another Vietnam like war? (I wrote a graduate paper many, many years ago on the insurgents in Phillipinnes and Indonesia - now they have an even greater and more bold cause and animosity towards USA. How many places are we prepared to fight on new fronts against the war of terrorism?)

They may buy our movies , music and send baseball players to the majors but the power brokers aint buying the USA economic & political policies which is the far more important aspect of what foreigners think of USA.

The cost of gasoline is related to 1) the gouging by the Arabs, and 2) the gouging by the oil companies. It makes no difference if the U.S. is Mother Theresa or the devil incarnate. It has been proven that ther is a glut of oil and gas under much of the earth's surface. We are simply not tapping into it because of the support of the two-headed greed monster. Add to that, if the world stops buying oil from the Arabs, there will be even more anarchy and world terrorism from those bastards. So...we are forced to pay whatever they feel like stealing from the consumer for something that is almost as plentiful as water. Just wait until you see your winter heating bills and the price of gasoline next spring and summer. Maybe we should engage in some anarchy ourselves!

Thats not right, they had the girls mugshots in the suntimes yesterday and they were both white, the two in the pic that dont get a popup are black, plus theres only 27 names on the roster below the pic, but there are like 33 in the pic.
