Comeback fizzled as walk on kicker missed FG with 7 seconds remaining to win it. Coaching staff bungled by not calling time out with 15 seconds remaining on third down. MU had a poor snap and could have downed the ball and tried a second snap on fourth down.
In OT kicker missed FG for Herd and USM nailed one to win 27-24.
Herd receivers and QB made several spectacular plays to bring game into a tie coming back from down 24-10.
I really enjoy listening to Curry. Not only does he know fotball, he spins a few good yarns into most broadcasts. The one last nite about kickers being a funny breed was a classic and how teammates try to relax them prior to a pressure packed kick with jokes or asking about his girlfriend but also how one of Curry's kickers complained to him that one of his linemen threatened him with his life if he missed the kick!

That game was so brutally boring in the first half I had to turn it off. Pretty sparse crowd. Those mid-week games are a tough draw for everybody.

Marshall sucks! Pathetic game for them last night. No excuse for not winning. Another reason why we love Chris Nendick.
