I have to say Im surprised about this, word finally got around about this site and now changing seems like it would cause the loss of alot of people.
I hope the motivation behind this is not just to get willy and alum back, I have a sneaking suspicion that has something to do with the desire to switch. Has anyone given a reason for leaving here? I just find this board to be the best Ive ever seen in terms of ease of navigation.

I agree, it took 2 years for this board to get as popular with Huskie fans as it has, and to leave right now you would be losing alot of people. But Im a follower, not a leader, I'll go where everyone else does.

I am still waiting for Oddball to re-register so I can reinstate his post count, etc.
He is the only one I know of -- besides those YOU YOURSELF requested banned HuskieDan -- that have been banned here within... over a month.
I have said enough times to make my head spin -- Oddball has been reinstated and we are awaiting him to re-register to reinstate his post count etc. So give that crap a rest.

It is a conflict of interest to have you as a mod at both places, and I've already read one mod on MACbbs posting on actions in the mod forum here. If a majority of the admins/mods vote to have you stay on as mod; you will be given privs back. Until then, no privs. I don't think those actions are unreasonable at all, especially given your use of our PM system here.
stay. it would be pretty dumb to switch. i dont really even understand this whole thing, but if we switch we will lose a lot of people in the process and everyone will be confused and it will just be dumb. so we should just stay here.

My only complaint with this board has been with that guy called Tate, he seemed to be very goonish with his WWE style bouncing of people. If someone violates board policy, the AUP should be followed, and at times I dont think the AUP was followed. That is really what led to the problems here, if you have a policy, follow it strictly.
I think it's needless to have another board. I see no reason to leave.
I also see no reason to leave but will probably follow the majority here if that's what you all want.

I never claimed unfairness to your process with me, GTS. I respect that there is a process.
And for the record, the banned posters I'm talking about are the NIU posters only, as someone on this thread asked if those boards were being started in order to get them back into the fray.
I will probably go to both. I am registered at both and have both in my favorites so I don't forget about the other board should there be a problem with either board.

I have a strange feeling that behind all this sh!t is the usual war between the liberal and conservative points of view. This whole fracas stemmed from banter in the spin room. This crap is stupid, but it's what happens when politics gets involved. Maybe you guys should set up a conservative board and a liberal board, and maybe that's the intent of all this. Good luck!

Serious question. What if the MAC and NIU go there seperate ways at some point? If the masses migrate to the new All-MAC board, we'll be left looking for a new home again. At least here, we would be relocated to our new home within the site.
