Seems like WR is the most loaded position in the MAC this year. All four of the above will get NFL looks. Did I miss any others?
I voted for Hurd partly because I'm biased and partly because he really seems to make some big plays even when he's covered, because of his size and ability. Jennings may be better, and has been more consistent. He certainly killed our 'D', but a lot of receivers do that, so not sure what that says. And he's probably had a more consistent QB throwing the ball to him.

What about Deslaurier from EMU? Not sure how he's doing this year, but he was a preseason favorite at WR.
I'm sorry but Jennings is VERY VERY special. The guy is a first team AA if there were any real analysis ( CFN has hin second). He gets doubled every game and still leads the country in catches. Further his yards after catches is awesome.

WMU although very young will miss him greatly next year. he is part of the reason Hiller is successful. His adjustments on bad balls is extaordinary.
Prior to this season, I might have said Charles Sharon, but this year both he and Steve Sanders have dropped a ton of catchable balls. I can't put my finger on exactly why they keep doing it, but maybe, just maybe they aren't as open as in the past due to the absence of a certain blonde haired #21.....
Nance drops too many easy ones. I think he's a good receiver, but I actually think he's the second best receiver on his team (Robinson #1).

I vote for Jennings.

If only Hurd did not slip in the NU endzone 03-banghead 03-banghead

Come on ... Jennings leads the conference in most statistical receiving categories, including yards, receptions, and yards per game, and is second in receiving TD's. He is also ranked nationally in receptions (#1), yards (#2), and TD's (#4). Hurd's a very good receiver, but him leading this poll is pure "homerism".
Jennings by far over everyone else....

Or we've just seen a lot more of Hurd, and he's almost single-handedly won 3 games for us.

I think Jennings is excellent, but I haven't seen him play yet this year.

It is not our fault WMU doesn't have any fans. 03-razz
I would have put Steve Sanders on that list over Sharon. Sanders has really elevated his game this year.

We have our own web sight just like the big boys. We are just special that way. :)

As for the fact that you have not seen Jennings yet, well that is OK.
You can see him in 2 weeks. Just look for the guy with the ball in the endzone surounded by crying Huskies :crying: .............. :D

That would be "web site". If you add up your fans on that board and this one, we still have more than WMU. :)

That's pretty much it. I was impressed with Jennings last year, which is why I said he might be better. Haven't seen him yet this year so he might very well be the best WR by a long shot. Like HD said, Hurd pretty much saved us in several games this year so he's definitely competition.

03-lol It is "which"

Yeah man, crack is some good ******. Just can't get enough.

P.S. Is there a dumber comeback than the "you smoke crack" one? It basically is the message board "white flag" or "I surrender".

Robert, I've read westernwilly's comments enough to know that most of what he says is tongue-in-cheek and not meant to be taken so seriously.

And I always found that being an officer for the Spelling Police is not a good job to volunteer for, because you're then forever offering your own posts to be scrutinized under a microscope. Someday, you'll type kind of fast, miss a keystroke, hit "reply", then... oops!

I do that all of the time. Half of my post probably have spelling errors in them. It is not that I can't spell but I am not a great typist.

You just made the point. While Hurd is a nice receiver and had a terrific game yesterday, the reason he is leading this poll is because (correct me if I'm wrong) you NIU folks all hang out here. Do you have another board, like other MAC teams?

You'll get your chance to see Jennings up close in two weeks, but chances are, you'll mostly see the back of his jersey. He's the real deal. His stats speak for themselves - and not just this year. His career stats are impressive, as well.
NIU also has a mild-traffic Scout.com board, but it's nowhere near as active as the WMU Scout board.
