Interesting you should say that since it is possible that we may not make .500 in the MAC. But it was fun seeing Illinois get their butts whipped again. :)
We are 5-4 now with 2 games to go. I say the worst we do is 6-5 with a good shot at being 7-4.
U of I plays at home vs. Northwestern on November 19th. We'll see if they do better than 37-38. Watch Northwestern jam it down their throats that day - looking to make a statement, I'll bet NU jacks the score on U of I in an effort to position themselves for a bowl game.
I still wish we could get an "every other year" game with both NU and U of I. That would be excellent for the economies of these teams. None of them exactly fill their stadiums from week to week. How many Rutgers or San Jose State fans do you think went to Champaign this year? NIU brought 15,000 to Evanston. U of I is terrified to play us.
Do you think some of their top recruits will reconsider. I know that Isaiah Williams took an official to North Carolina. Although, if it were me, I would take all 5 of my officials, good way to get a free vacation and see the country.

No I doubt any of them reconsider. None of those really good recruits Illinois got is going there because Illinois has a good team. They are going there because Zook is a master recruiter and so they can play early.
