Besides the NIU@CMU game, the Broncos @The Eagles is probably
the most interesting MAC match-up this Saturday. Two decent state rivals. at Ford Field.Wonder what attendance will be-Michigan is off and Mich State is at Purdue?

Middle of the 3rd

Western is starting to run away with it! 04-rock
Oops, spoke to soon.
2 penalties for retardation on the kick off and we give EMU great field position that they quickly scored on. (Ball St. game daja vu  ).
Need Riley and the Defense to come up big in the 4th. Our kicking game sucks. This is a game where we might miss Cubit Jr., though.
Any word on the attendance? We couldn't go this year. Enjoyed last year's game immensely.
Eastern scored again - 13 unanswered points 03-banghead blocked PAT 04-rock
WMU 37
EMU 30
Hiller fumbles.
We are going to lose. 03-banghead
TD EMU -
We just blew a 20pt. lead. 03-banghead

WMU 37
EMU 36 -Went for 2 and missed.
Why go for 2 ? That one is crazy.
OLine big last drive. 44-36 WMU.

Cubits MAC return is not good news for the MAC defenses. His putting up pinball numbers w/a freshmen QB. They are already in the Top 20 in the nation in scoring and that will go up this week.

Again the Ball State game stings like a hornets nest. We should be 7-2 and could be 8-1 w/Jr. playing in the Virginia game.
Western scores with 33 secs. left!

44 - 36 WMU

What a game!
4 secs.
WMU 44
EMU 36 Final
Game over! Western WINS!

Great Game!
I can not take anything away from Eastern they are good and if they had a running game they would have kicked our butts.
Western,
They really didn't even offer a run but Bohnert threw for over 400 yds so I'm not so sure they needed it.

I'll be in Kzoo this weekend to beat he chips. Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!
Exciting game. I would've preferred if we kept our large lead, but the nail-biter was fun too. The attendance was listed as 11K and change. I thought it looked more like 15K-20K, but it's hard to judge sometimes. As far as fan ratio, I'd say the crowd was about 60-65% Bronco fans.

6-3 after last season's 1-10 record. Definitely feels good to be competitive and win again. 04-drinky

at the game - i had guessed 12,000 - so i wasn't too far off.

the wmu and emu crowds were T*I*N*Y compared to cmu's last year.

cmu brought more last year than the entire crowd at this year's game.
I thought that last year had a double header with Wayne St. also playing. Local school would have brought more.
Eastern didn't double last years attendance too, did thay?
the wayne state game attracts about 500 people or so - at least that's what they did last year. they may be local (really local - they play about 5 miles away from ford field) but it's a division ii commuter school that has never gotten any fans to their games.

in last year's emu-cmu game - almost the entire lower bowl was full or at least inhabited pretty well - this one wasn't even crowded between the 20's. i'm not sure why emu fans didn't show up in the same way as before - because the emu record and team are better this year. western though was going in with a chance to clinch bowl eligbiltiy, winning record etc - where last year's cmu team was not.

for all the hub-bub about wmu's large detroit area alumni base - i have to conclude that cmu's must be much larger.
