I feel partly responsible for getting this board off track lately. I apologize for that, I should have never gotten involved like that and just let willy spout off. But I think we should all agree to not get involved with this garbage from here on out. I see a few suspicious screenames that have been created today...niusfactuary and liarDan no doubt they are willy/alum or a combination thereof and will be looking to stir things up. I hereby swear to not get involved anymore. Back to Huskie sports like klake said!

I'm still here but still extremely depressed and pissed from last Saturday's debacle. I don't mind when a team loses trying, but the Huskies did not show up for the game last Saturday. Their total lack of effort was an insult to the university and the fans. It was the worst game I have seen in many, many years and the only game in 30 years where I left early. That game made me physically ill, and I was sick from it for the rest of the weekend. As a fan, I feel duped and cheated.
I know we are mathematically not out of it, but the game against BSU left a very sour taste in my mouth. I am so pissed off that the team could not get "inspired" for BSU. Excuse me, team, but weren't we shooting for a MAC championship?
I'll be back to my usual perverted self when basketball starts. I cannot wait for BB to start. Our BB players may not win 'em all, but I know they'll bust their asses trying.

Yea, I debated leaving early too, many times. I ended up staying, but that was the worst football game I've seen in a long time. I can't believe they can say they're trying to win a MAC championship with that effort. Especially at home. I do think Ball State is underrated though. And the defense must have been tired from being on the field most of the game.

I'm not saying they're great, just not as bad as their record, now that they have all those players back. Not saying we shouldn't have beaten them in any case. That was a game that came down to the QBs though - Ball State's QB, who was very accurate and so got the job done, and our QB, who was..... :mad:

As my work week has worn on, colleagues who I see only on occasion have asked me what the H happened to your Huskies last weekend?
I've tried various explanations but nothing really much to say other than if I knew I would go to DeKalb and straighten them out myself.....and they laff knowing it's coming from my passion and not any football knowledge base .
Today I ran into a VP who was one of the first to call me after the Bama game awhile ago & ask today: "I really haven't heard much about the Huskies this year...what's been happening? I cringed and basically said not much really.
This loss sticks in many a craw as well it should. It's almost unexplainable and definitely inexcuseable - no disrespect to BSU and their effort and performance. .
Look for a new coaches that can motivate the players.

From what I gather, the best description I heard from anyone when I was doing concessions was the guy who just said "pi$$ poor" when asked what was going on out there.
a vendor at halftime watching the game on TV said it best -WE SUCK.

Totally different team.
No one that watched them last year would ever accuse this team of not playing hard or failing to fight to the end.
They definitely lack the talent of the 2004 squad, but they do have heart.
