Only a portion of this humiliation today can be placed on Horvath, he is still the best man for the job and QB fully capable of winning a MAC title. The focus today has to go on three areas:

1) Offensive play calling -- absolutely brutally called game
2) Offensive line -- a really bad day
3) TACKLING -- worst fundamental team Ive ever seen

My impressions of Britt Davis get higher and higher each game, what a special player he is. I could not believe he was not used more in the first half.

Here is the thing, it starts at the qb.

Teams taht can't pass will have their run stopped. I don't care who you are but 5 guys can't block 8. And our run was stopped and we didn't have a counter punch because the 8 in the box just happened to be able to stop our 7 yard pass game. This is all on our QB play. Our OC was stuck, our OL was stuck, our RB was stuck.

Phil was very limited with where he could go with the ball today in the wind. He is not the best man for the job, not after the losses to BSU and akron. i nkow the losses are not all on him, not at all. But when playing catchup and we can't run, we have to go downfield, or at least past 12.

The play calling sucks because of PHIL! Wake up!

Have you noticed it is only the games with PHIL at qb that people question the play calling? Look back to ISU last year and move forward. You see it all revolves around phil! He can't do some things, so the play calling isn't the problem.

Did Hurd or Powers even run routes where Horvath could throw the ball though. The problem in this game is that your best offensive weapon (britt davis) was not even utilized until the game was getting out of hand. The OC has to put the offense in a position to succeed and that certainly was not done today. The running game had no chance of even being the least bit successful with how thoroughly Ball State dominated our offensive line.

Ok and that is phil horvath's fault. He can't get it done. What did you want the OC to do? Call for a 40 yard pass that phil can't make? Did you want him to throw the same 5 yard pass to davis all game?

What did you want? Phil can't do some things and it shows.

Hurd and Powers were never open. They basically both took this game off. Britt Davis is the only one that was running clean routes today, and the fact you dont use your best offensive weapon until 3 quarters through the game is inexcusable. Bond really laid an egg today, as did most everyone associated with the Huskies.

Look, I know its fashionable to flip-flop and jump back onto the "Horvath is the worst QB in nation" side like you have done. Last week, you said Horvath was the best QB for this offense. Now you have done a 180. I watched the entire game today Willy, and to blame Horvath for this is ridiculous. Hurd and Powers were blanketed the whole game.

MADDAWG you clearly did not watch the game. Look wideside every play when we send a man deeper than 12 he is open. OF COURSE they couldn't get opne underneath with 8 guys standing there, that is phils problem not theirs. If they had a real qb they would be tearing the place up.

But without wolfe this O need the QB to be able to pass further than 12.

Well I can tell you if Britt Davis plays QB he wont be able to pass to anyone. We dont have a consistent receiver outside of him, and last I checked he couldnt throw to himself. If Britt Davis can run for 300 yards a game as QB then by all means plug him in there. But I know one thing for sure, NIU would be one dimensional with him as QB because we do not have anyone who would be a threat as a receiver.

No you can't tell anyone that. You can think it, but you have proven to know very very little about football.

BDAVIS can pass deep. Dan nicholson too. B davis can run after his 3 steps, phil just seems confused. Watch the game man! You don't watch it and you expect people to think you have some sort of knowledge. Look at phil in the 3 step drop. Just watch the game again and see it is 1, 2, 3, hop, hop, pat, pat, Sack, bad pass, INT, Fumble. That is how it goes. On plays when he makes a good 3 step drop then pass, or 3 step drop move, he does ok.

Just watch the game. My god your knowledge of football is so low it hurts me.

Hurd is a really good WR, Shatone is ok, if Britt was the Qb you would probably see less 3 WR sets, but Carter, Adonis, and Turner aren't bad they are just unproven.

Wow you are playing the OC, for Horvath having no arm?

Powers and Hurd were open all day, just like Britt was.
Hurd and Powers were never open. They basically both took this game off. Britt Davis is the only one that was running clean routes today, and the fact you dont use your best offensive weapon until 3 quarters through the game is inexcusable. Bond really laid an egg today, as did most everyone associated with the Huskies.
Maddawg i have to disagree. Hurd and powers were open every time, only problem being that they were open when they were wideside. The CB/S didn't respect phil throwing the ball in a window so they gave him one and he never took it.

Watch the game. Then speak.
Yea every play the safties blitz or clogged the middle.

Britt is your best athlete, and he should play your most important position, QB.

WIlly for once could you shut the hell up.

So you are saying the huskies problems are based on how Horvath steps back to pass. There is a reason he didn't get rid of the ball quick, nobody was open!! Geesus you're dense.

If you defend Hovath, then you need to shut the hell up!

And guess what you do in the 3 step when no one is open maddawg. Guess, and the answer isn't wait, so don't copy phil on this test.

YOU TAKE 3 STEPS in this O, if no one is open you LEAVE. That is how it works. THAT is a 3 step drop system. OUR QB seems to not be able to grasp that, and neither can you.
