I am torn as to who to cheer for tomorrow when Michigan plays at Northwestern. We lost to both, but only lost by 1 to NU. Not that that means much, but based on our games Mich should win the game. I normally don't like NU, but don't have any reason to root for MU. Can they both lose?
What does everyone else think?
Northwestern, they will make us look better and better every time the win, Michigan really doesn't do much for us because they are mediocre this year.

Good point, but I am still torn. I don't like NU, but I also don't hate them like the ILLini

I want NU to lose big. Anything negative in the media regarding NU, Illinois and ND helps NIU. If we didn't play both teams I would pull for NU though because it makes us look better.

I didn't know Miami(Oh) was playing NU. Maybe you meant Marshall?
Seriously, I guess it would depend on the records. The fewer 6-5+ teams, the more possible bowl games. However, losing to Michigan in that case may not get us a spot if they don't have a good record. It is all so confusing.
P.S. Michigan=UM :)
NU likely to become bowl eligible in spite of results of UM game.
The higher NU finishes in BT the better NIU's one point loss under 6 seconds looks - especially if we are a long shot to go to a bowl should we lose to Dildos ..or Chimps but not both.
It's about US & not either of them.

If NU won, the only damage it would remotely do to us is that they would (if not already) have best team in IL. They don't recruit the same guys we do due to academics and their nationwide strategy. And since Mich. is mediocre this year, i'd rather them go deeper into the Big-10 cellar due to their fans' subtle arrogance at our game with them.

i have always hated Michigan. Nothing would ever pull me to cheer for them, unless they were playing USC.
Got to root for NU. A team we could have(maybe should have)beat.
