Maybe we'll get to see this kid as a Flash after all! Hope we get this decision.
Be nice if we could get him back next year.

Jarvis is listed as an active student at Kent State; hope he's cutting it.

Quote:The running back problems started before the season when true freshman Eugene Jarvis didn't pass the NCAA Clearinghouse. Martin said Jarvis' high school, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, enrolled him in two classes which the school counted towards his core curriculum. The NCAA, though, has ruled the classes don't count under its rules.

The NCAA's decision is being appealed, Martin said.

``He would have been our starting running back,'' Martin said. ``It wasn't close.''
We need this, badly!!

Sessler is appealing for a mediacl hardship to get another year of eligibility. While I don't see it happening (since he has played half of the season), it would be nice to get him for another year. Anyone happen to know how long an appeal like that takes??
Drager will likely get a redshirt; just questionable on how much he can contribute with two bad knees. Unlikely Sessler will get one.

Keep your fingers crossed on Jarvis. " Today's Maybe" is better than the "No" of a month ago.
Sessler's appeal a lost cause.
Does anyone know the latest on Eugene Jarvis? If he plays next year, this will certainly help the Flashes provided the line can block for him.
No one will know until the close of fall semester and grade results. If Eugene shows up next spring, he is eligible unless there is a summer disaster. And as we well know- disaster, football and Kent State are words often used in the same sentence.

On the optimistic side, Euguene would be a great boost to our running game.
