Yea for real. That's not even pride, it's being cocky. How easy is it even going to be without our star backs?

We have two more star backs waiting in the wings.
vegas knows more about these teams than their coaches.....if wolf does not play or does play, it will adjust....the sports betting market is "efficient".....

Adrian Davis is good people.

He is a star. And he will dominate. He can hide behind our big oline.
With the loss of AJ and Garrett, I bet the line is 4-6 pts lower. Vegas does not know what effect if any Adrian Davis will have. Also, Lines are set based on which way Vegas wants the money to go. I would think that -10 is good for NIU but I am sure they want us to put bets down. Our defense seems to be improving weekly(if we can limit injuries).

What was the line on the Akron game?
niu -7........and then vegas adjusts future lines.....tip: do not trust lines early in the season....TRUST lines late in the season.......all games except toledo were predicted by the lines last year...and will be the case this year (akron the exception)....

Saturday and last year's Akron games are the only two opportunities we've had to see Adrian get in a rhythm running the ball. I think he can get it done, and he won't do it alone - Montell and Cas will carry the ball, also. Time to show off our RB depth.

That said, Garrett Wolfe is truly special. It's hard to replace him without missing a beat, simply because he has some many excellent skills - great vision, strong, very fast, great hands, etc.
Adrian should and will be enough for a Huskie win this saturday.

Any word on Wolfe and Aj's status? I know it doesnt sound good but who knows... maybe one of them will be able to play.
NIU wasn't the only team to suffer some big injuries. Kent lost Jon Sessler. He's the heart and soul of their defense. Thats a huge loss for them and will help ease Adrian into the game. Hopefully Wolfe and AJ will be back soon.

Sounds pretty likely.

Im not worried either way.

I'm not worried this week... or even next week. But we need Wolfe and Harris if we want to win the MAC. I think that goes without saying.

I am by no means calling this weeks game against Kent a gimme but I am confident that we can win without Wolfe and Harris.
