Just wondering if you miss us. To all the MAC schools, your doing a great job.
Hope if we drop Tennessee next year we can start The Battle for the Bell back up with Ohio.
I miss Marshall. I think for Ohio fans its a bit different. Marshall was a rival and was a close drive for fans of both schools. Does Marshall miss the MAC? I think Marshall made a huge mistake that will hurt them in the long run.
Are you kidding? Wasn't the only team with a winning record to not go bowling Akron?
Wasn't Buffalo the team widely regarded as "snubbed" for the Big Dance?
I think Marshall belongs in the MAC. I was sorry to see them go. I've never wavered from this.
But I sense I'm in a minority here.
Good riddance to Marshall, and UCF never belonged anyway.

I don't miss Marshall, but yet I do. Tough to explain. They were kind of the team you "loved to hate". Without going into detail and opening up wounds, there are certainly elements about the school and its message board fans I didn't like and was glad to see gone.
At the same time, their presence in our schedules did make things interesting. From a strict on-the-field viewpoint (i.e. disregarding the NCAA violations, MACC location controversy, message board clashes, etc.), it was fun.
UCF was just not geographically suited for the MAC from the get-go.
I don't hold any ill-will toward them, and since the Broncos only played one game with them (as opposed to 5 or 6 with Marshall) during their stay in the conference, I didn't get acquainted with them enough.
I say we should owe them a return OOC trip to Orlando... say in November one of these years? :)

I miss the anal sex with the Marshall mascot. Other than that, I hardly remember them.

I miss Five Iron Frenzy, The Benjamin Gate and The O.C. Supertones. I'm sad they broke up.
I miss John Belushi, John Candy and Hunter S. Thompson. I'm sad they are gone too soon.
I miss Northern Exposure and Seinfeld, M*A*S*H and the seasons of Surreal life with Flavor Flav and Jane Weidlen.
I miss understanding the inside jokes in teen movies, knees that don't creak and being able to stay up beyond midnight for something fun.

By the way, CWR probably did have a bigger impact than either of those schools.
As far as Marshall is concerned, it's two strikes and you're out. No third chance. They are simply a bad seed.
