Well when I heard goal I figured soccer because I know Akron is pretty good, plus I figured they were too wimpy to play hockey.

Besides, if UT had a hockey team then it would be harder to follow the Red Wings during hockey season.

Next game up for the Zips... at #5 St. Johns on Wednesday. Zips also have a game at #11 Indiana.

If Akron can somehow win out until the NCAA tourney, they should earn the TOP #1 seed. While New Mexico is currently the polled #1, they have not and will not have played a ranked opponent this season.

The Zips, on the other hand, played two top ten teams in the pre-season, just beat #20 Buffalo, and has the two previously mentioned ranked teams coming up.

Can the Zips do it?

After reading this I figured this was a final football score. After seeing Buffalo last week, I can believe that it will be a 3-0 game although 2-0 would be more realistic. Plus, ssssssshhhhh, dont say it too loud, they probably thought the Red Wings played last year.

Soccer's good. I actually enjoy watching it.

So I was actually at the game and what a night it was. A nice 40 degrees with rain and a slight 10 mph breeze. There was still a couple hundred people there though! Akron looked very good, they deffinitly deserve their ranking. Buffalo on the other hand... We couldn't pass well, and we had no offense. The Zips really should have scored more on us. I must say though, I think Akron could go far this season! Good luck!

Guys, we should give this Akron dude a break on his soccer team. Let's face it; Akron finally has a reason to cheer about something, even if it is something as LAME as soccer! LOL

Yeah, I guess when we beat you in football last year...and beat you twice in basketball...it was ONLY beating OU. I agree it wasn't much to cheer about. I hardly noticed. Keep smoking the weed and prepping for Halloween, BongCat.
