We are currently 3 point favorites. Should be a very interesting game.
Who has made us 3 point favorites?
Where is the link?
I saw it in the Herald today.
I think the home team is always given 3 pts. That means they think the game is a toss up.
The home team is given three points so technically if we played at a Neutral Site it would be a "Pick 'Em" game, however, it isn't since we are at HUSKIE STADIUM.
We might be really a 3 point, excuse the term, dog, but Huskie stadium is a 6 point advantage to the home team.

Huskies by 10.

GO HUSKIES!!!
That is a tough line to take. I wonder what the over/under is?

My guess 79 points.
over under is 61

When has this changed. The home team has always been given 4 points, when did it change to 3?

Really? I'd definitely take the over on this one.....
I'd wait to see how windy it is on Wednesday before taking the over. The Toledo game last year looked like a sure over, but the wind significantly effected the passing games (at least NIU's) which held the score down. (remember how Sheldon was wide open in the 3rd Q but Haldi's pass sailed right past him because of the wind)
3 seems very reasonable. If this game between NIU/Miami-OH was played at a neutral site (as it will be at Ford Field for the rematch come December :) I would consider it a toss up, so the 3 for home field seems about right.

Huskies will cover this though, Dawgs 30 Hawks 20
I think the Miami consensus is a very close game, with NIU winning it. Although, I think NIU could blow Miami out, or Miami could flatten NIU. It all depends, but I think NIU wins.
Give the points

If the home team gets 3 points automatically (I wouldn't know since I never bet on sports) that doesn't mean the game is a toss-up! What it means is the game WOULD BE a toss-up if it were played on a neutral site. But it is not being played on a neutral site. It is being played at Huskie Stadium. Ergo, to wit: advantage Huskies!
