Thanks!
UCF hosts Syracuse in November, it isn't a road trip. Otherwise, another great assesment.
One other small correction... WMU goes to Buffalo this weekend.
Hmmm...I wonder if I could blame these errors on my editor? Nope. My error. Thanks for the corrections.
And who is Arkon?

Arkon...new name...new attitude?

Yeesh, I am going to have to fire my copy editor!
One more correction.

Roethlisberger is a sophomore. This is only his second year.
Okay, okay...that's 15 yards for piling on!!

Nice column, grammar aside.
When did UCF play Arizona? Did we win?
Syracuse is also a home game for UCF this year, not a road game.
Dodo -

Please don't remind me of the fact that EMU went from having one of the most recognizable nicknames (HURONS) to having the most common and mundane of nicknames (EAGLES). It was all driven by a PC bent Board of Regents who would not even listen to the appeal of the Chief of the Huron Indian Tribe who felt the name was a great honor to the Huron Nation.

Update Weekly MAC Column (Hey --- ignore the errors - they will be corrected in next week's column!)

What nation and what chief do you mean? Do you have a name?

Possibilities would appear to include the Wyandot Nation of Kansas, the Wyandotte Nation Oklahoma, the Wyandot Band of Anderdon and the Huron-Wendats of Wendake. But I could be wrong.
Hey RF -

If memory serves me right, it was the Wyandotte Nation Oklahoma. I'm sorry but I cannot recall the Chief's name. I was not present, but as I understand it, he actually was at EMU at the invitation of the Huron Restoration Alumni Club when the Board was convening and they actually had the Chief forceably removed. It was a sad, sad day in the history of EMU.

Made most of the aforementioned edits except left the "Hurons" at the request of the Chief.

Thanks Johnnymo.
