Don't know how severe the injury is, but this is a high-profile player who was on some lists to receive national recognition.
CMich: The current rumor is the he tore his acl and mcl and will be out for the season. We will not receive "official" word until early next week. This is a huge loss for us.
My condolences. I remember losing RB Silas Massey for the season a few years back, and Brian Pruitt before the Las Vegas Bowl in 1994. As I said, a loss for the entire MAC, not just WMU.

On a related note, a reliable MLive poster reports one of CMU's projected starting CBs has an ACL injury (no word yet on the severity). He's not a returning starter, but that stings in an area that was already a "?"
The injury curse of 2001 seems to be following us into 2002. <img border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />

Question marks in QB, the O-Line, and secondary were already enough to make Bronco fans uneasy about the forthcoming season, let alone a constant stream of injuries to areas we "should" be strong in.

I could be wrong, but I think basketball might be WMU's bread n' butter this year. Meanwhile, I think the football team will struggle just to hit the .500 mark. We'll probably be underdogs in every game except EMU, Indiana State, and Buffalo.

Sorry to hear that guys. You hate to see a promising player's season end before it even gets started.
Thanks Odd. This MAC west race is going to be wide open. I'm sorry, but I just can't see BG stealing the show.
Knee injuries really stink. Condolences to the Broncos. In the spring, we lost Jeff Harper to an ACL. He's a redshirt Freshman OT, who has more potential (and size) than any recruit since Culpepper. Losing anticipated starters really hurts.

Meyer is one hell of a coach, and they have some talent. They also had a lot of luck last season. There won't be any sneaking up on anyone. I look for the West to be decided in the Glass Bowl the last game of the season.
This stinks. WMU has played great ball for the past few years, always looking for them to be tough. Hate to see a team not at full strength.

Not the one I want, of course, but definitely a possibility.
