That bottom 10 list is a joke. UCF is not one of the worst teams in D I-A. Just because they started the season 0-3 doesn't mean anything. Look who they lost to.

They had a much closer game against Penn State than Nebraska did so if ESPN wants to look at it that way, Nebraska should be on that list too.
Agree. Last week they had Michigan State in the Bottom 10! I think they put more thought in the "Mid-major" ranking. The Bottom 10 ranking looks more like a comedy routine, pointing out teams that have been disappointing or blundered, rather than actually being truly awful.
Well, UCF IS 0-3...and if you look at their history...it looks like history is repeating itself.

OTOH, I think it's safe to say that Rutgers will wear the crown after their weekend visit to...Knoxville.

Well, if some UCF player's see this...I don't think Liberty is going to enjoy their stay in Orlando.

They are going to be used as a punching bag.

On a sidenote, UCF has played 3 very tough opponents all on the road. I think they are the only team in college football to not play a home game yet.
It looks to me like they actually do try to rank the bottom 10 except for #10. As Motown Bronco pointed out, they had Michigan State there last week. I think that spot is reserved for a team that has been merely disappointing. That being said, except for the ASU game, CFU has played decent ball.
UCF still looks good to me. They had a chance to win in Huntington, something that seldom happens. If they can win at Miami, I still think they will contend in the East.
I guess that makes Ohio one of the favorites to win the title and Eastern,Akron ,Kent and Buffalo are obviously superior programs? PLEASE! What a joke...take that "poll" for what it is worth -nothing.
Just a thought: can you really have a "poll" if it's just one person compiling a ranking?

Don't you just love how we misuse more words everyday?
In all fairness, they don't claim anywhere that it's a poll, just a list.
That said, it's a good way to take potshots at pretentious programs--they higher profile you are the better your chances of making the list. The truly bad teams are boring. Rice, Ohio...IT's more fun to take shots at the Illini and UCF right now because by the end of the year it will be a different list with the 0-11's and 0-12s...
Ya can't take it seriously!
