I got a chance to catch the HOF game last night in person. I was talking up Darius Watts of the Redskins to a friend of mine. I always give love to the MAC players. He was a little shakey from the start. He dropped his first three balls, including one that was in his arms before it hit the ground. That was the bad news. The good news is taht they kept throwing to him. I think he will be an important option in the 'Skins lineup this season.
That's actually incorrect.

He caught the first ball thrown to him, and dropped a pass on the next play that would have garnered a first down.

I saw him several times looking good with and without the ball. He also made plenty of mistakes, which is to be expected from a rookie with less than two weeks of practice.

Isn't he w/ Denver?

He plays for the the Broncos and had 4 receptions for 44 yards.I believe he was thrown to 7 times.

Congrats to Watts for a solid NFL debut 04-rock
Yes he is with Denver. My bad. He'll be a solid NFL reciever.

Im soooooo confused right now.
I was watching the game last night on tv and I thought Watts looked pretty good. Although I root for my Broncos, I want everyone from the MAC to do well once they get out of the MAC. 03-lol And Madden was talking him up pretty good too. Good start for him. I also think there was a linebacker from BG that got in the game too. It is going to be my bad but I cant remember his name at the moment. Can anyone give me some help? Thanks.

Me to brother.

I love to see MAC players do well.

Honestly here in good ole WV there are a major number of Pit Steelers fans. Many MU fans that are also Pit fans may not like to admit they like the Miami OF OHIO QB, but they are smiling pretty wide right now for their future QB.

Im still bitter that the Bears traded down for 2 first rounders instead of drafting Leftwich instead drafting Michael Hayes (DE from Penn St.) & Rex Grossmidget (QB from Florida).

I think that JAX might be this years Carolina Panthers.
I too was dissipointed that the Bears didn't take Leftwich.
It's probably to Byron's benefit. Playing in John Shoop's absolutely horrific "Throw a Three-Yard-Out on Third-and-9" offense last year probably would have re-injured his leg for good. Bears QBs spent the majority of last season on the turf.
Yes, but the Bear QB's have a high percentage of completions as a result! It's not whether you win or lose, it's all about the stats.

The Redskin LB from BG was #50 Khary Campbell. KC played a solid game. KC was with the Jets for two years after graduating in 2001. He was picked up by Dallas and let go. The Skins picked him up this off season. It would be great to see him earn a roster spot. Tough nose kid outta Sylvania. 04-rock

GO FALCONS!!
