KSU's average will be above 15K again after their home game with Marshall in 2 weeks because:

1. It's Marshall which will bring some of their fans (Thanks Herd Nation!)and generate interest at KSU and in the community.

2. KSU is promoting the game heavily in the Cleveland market with a radio promotion (Finally!).

Go FLASHES! BEAT THE HUSKIES (unless, they beat themselves first )
Actually, I was somewhat pleased by the attendance in Oxford for the Kent-Miami game.....we don't usually draw well at all for Kent, so 15K isn't too bad. I believe Miami is still counting attendance by tickets sold plus students and although it was Band Day I'm pretty sure all those bands (filling up the endzones in the stadium) did not count toward the attendance mark. By accounts of those in attendance, it did appear to be more like 18K at the game, which I suspect is the attendance we'd report once the new NCAA attendance guidelines go into effect in 2004 (if they do).

With Homecoming and Parent's weekend still to come, Miami should be on track to average around 20K/game again this year without our two best draws (i.e. Herd and UC) on the home schedule.

It's far more fun when all MAC crossover games count in the conference standings. It definitely increases my interest in the outcomes of these sorts of games.
Looks like the Broncos need 35,675 to see the Hokies come to town to take control of the MAC Attendance lead. Hmmm... Can we do it?
I expect a standing room only crowd of 34,000 in Peden next Saturday with the running of the Bulls in Athens.

We'll swarm em', drag them down by their horns, claw marks all over their hides.

You will notice that Marshall's announced attendance for the CFU game is about 1k higher than the announced attendance for the Appy State game. Well, there is a reason for that.

I was at both games and anyone who was will tell you that there were more seats filled at Appy than for CFU. But, I didn't see anyone walk through a turnstile for the Appy game. My guess is that they just counted the number of tickets and therefore missed all the students. (I know Bobby P., along with a whole lot of other people, *****ed about the attendance figure after Appy). Conversely, they made everyone walk through a turnstile for the CFU game. So, we finally get an accurate count of how many people are in the stadium.

Good numbers so far but look for the numbers to drop a bit - say around 25k for Buffalo. I will say that Ohio has the most amazing numbers so far. The fact that they can get over 20k for a team that has completely tanked in the last two seasons is incredible.

Shoot, we lose to a 1AA team a week after being the underdog posterchild and the whole conference jumps off our bandwagon. SCREW YOU GUYS, WE'RE GOIN' INDY AGAIN!!!
Sorry Huskie Dan. I couldn't help myself with that one. Believe me I've been their with some KSU teams over the last 15 years.

Sheesh, do you have any idea what it's like to be a fan of a bipolar football team?
