Does this qualify you for part of the SI jinx? 03-wink
I don't know about a jinx, but another author of this publication just criticized us for playing on Tuesdays and called mid-majors second rate.
Yes, but this particular witer, Stewart Mandel, always seems to like the Rockets 04-bow
Hard to believe that UT and Marshall are the only 2 MAC schools they have in the top 69.

BG 70, NIU 72, Miami 74, Akron 90, WMU 94, CFU 95, CMU 103, KSU 106, BSU 107, OU 113, EMU 114, UB 117
First poll I've seen with Ohio State ahead of Michigan too.
That's cool to see us in the Top 25.

Not much respect for the rest of the conference though. BG, NIU and Miami in the 70's...that is much too low in my opinion.
What kills me is always seeing the bottom feeders of the MAC ranked from 100 on up. The MAC will always lack the respect it has earmed with that dead weight hanging around.
Miami got the hosed big time. They went from 10th in the final poll of 2003 to 74, thats not right. :chair:
My favorite part of the article:
Quote:The numbers could be even better this year. Toledo, which has a Mid-American Conference-best 37-12 record since 2000, has eight starters back from the nation's 11th-ranked offense, including Moore (1,194 receiving yards in '03), fellow wideout Steve Odom (838) and running back Trinity Dawson (999 rushing yards). Like Ben Roethlisberger at Miami (Ohio), Gradkowski could vault to national prominence if he can lead his team into the Top 10. "I don't know if this is going to be his Roethlisberger year," says Toledo coach Tom Amstutz, "but as a team I think we have the potential to do something like that."
The only UNfavorable review i have seen has been from CFN... it wouldn't surprise me if those guys were best from with people like craig james... who has got to be the biggest, idiot to ever announce or discuss college football... he has such a limited knowledge of the game...

Anyway, I think the fact that Toledo has gotten this much respect means a great deal... and hopefully, Stutz now has enough experience to deal with being a successful team... we just can't afford to choke... now, as I understand it... the players are very confident... that they will beat Minnisota...

Question: the article i had read was poorly written... is the Big Ten using instant replay this year?
I hope the big ten has instant replay, so they don't cheat anymore
Apparently it's up to the visiting team whether to use it or not, though nothing definitive has come out about using it in our game.
