Check out the nation's Top 5 QBs in terms of rating. Yes, I know the 1-AA competition helped boost the ratings, but it's still nice to look at...

BTW, nice job for Marshall's Josh Davis in receiving.
Do you have any idea how QB ratings are figured? Somehow, I've got a feeling it's about as complicated as the BCS formula.
I think TD's, INT's, and the TD-to-INT ratio plays a big part of the rating. Ryan Schneider was 32-46 for 345 yards against Penn State, yet his QB rating is 35th. It was probably dragged down because he had just one TD and had one INT.
I know the formula is online somewhere, I'm too lazy to go run it down though =/
Should we be looking for a giant asteroid to hit, now that Florida State has a #2 RB and no Top 25 QB...?

Hey...CMU's Derek Vickers is actually #23! Robbie Mixon is #22 at RB. How's that for a third-stringer?

Early last year, ignorance finally got the best of me and I went searching for info on how the QB rating was determined. It's such an oft-quoted stat, I felt I owed it to myself to understand it. Forget it. It's as complicated as any stat could possibly be, at least to this knucklehead. Got so frustrating trying to interpret it all, I seriously thought about taking up bowling.

It's simple. You just take completion percentage, multiply it by the square root of the ratio of touchdowns to interceptions, subtract the number of interceptions squared, add average gain per pass, minus yards lost to sacks, plus QB rushing yards divided by pi, plus the number of cheerleaders dated since the opening of summer camp. Subtract 20 for every cheerleader who happens to be male.

And there you have it.
