Well not that much, but I'm going to say that Akron, yes your favorite team w/ a kangaroo mascot, will take 2nd in the MAC-E.

I looked up last years scores, and they beat OU and surprising Kent, had a heartbreak loss to Miami, and a close game against BG. They played well against Ohio A&M

With Payne back, Akron is that much better and will be a surprise in the East. They have a tough OOC schedule, Iowa and UMd are somewhat physical, but not too daunting, and UVa could even be upset.

I hope the Zips come back w/ attitude and confidence, b/c they could be a boon for the MAC.

THEN GIVE ME SOME!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="cool.gif" />

All I saw was UCF pounding the s--t out of a team terribly out classed. And we're picked to place third by most predicting pundints. I really can't argue thier logic either.

So, put....the....crack....pipe...down!!! <img border="0" alt="[NoNo]" title="" src="graemlins/nono.gif" />

Just joking....if you're right, you could make alot of cash.

Don't discount the loss of almost their whole offensive line. I'm sure they've got talent coming in, but what an offensive unit accomplishes behind a senior laden group is rarely duplicated the next season.

Not saying they won't do what you say, but returners at the skill spots aren't the only factor.

(Imagine not getting much MAC info on the E Coast). That is a huge difference, but if the defense plays w/ more confidence they can hold things together while the OL comes together.

Owens is a good coach, but UA was slow to get their act together against Navy a couple of years ago. However, it is worth noting they did get it together and came back from a deficit to humble the Middies. That game impressed me, and if Owens has learned from those experiences, UA will be a very solid team.

Clay: I realize UCF beat the snot out of UA, but I'm speculating it was a combination of a bad match up for UA (could happen again, I know) and a discouraging losing streak.
