I love this conference!
Roethlisberger throws for 600 yards?
Leftwich throws for 447 yards in a half?
Bowling Green scores 50 points a game?
LOVE the MAC. We rule. We're insane.
Even the wacky WAC can't compare.
Don't forget Michael Turner's 222 yards and 5 TDs on 20 carries. That's a TD every 4 carries, and 11 yards a carry!! Since he barely played in our game against Wake, he's had nearly 1,100 yards in 6 games, or over 180yds/game. In his career STARTS, he averages over 200 yards a game.
Also, NIU scored 41 points in the last 20 minutes.
Sorry, man. I gain more respect for NIU every week. I didn't mean to leave Turner out.

Just a question- while the MAC is pretty wild offensively
, is there anybody in this conference that can play defense? :D

SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! ARGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
MAKE THE BAD MAN STOP!!!!
I prefer to think of it as Turner taking over, kinda like when Lefty took over the GMAC bowl last year - look at it as a great player exerting his will rather than a failing of your D to stop him. He's the irresistible force......and you don't employ the immovable object.
You are a sad, mean little man, Mr. Huskie.
Can you please stop watching my heart beat in your hands -- is it not enough you ripped it frommy chest? :crying:

BG, WMU, Toledo can all play defense....and CMU has some guys that fly to the ball..
Toledo
??
No disrespect to the Rockets, but I hardly think they are known for their defense this year. Even Oddball will tell you that much. Well, maybe not, now that I mentioned it.
We also held one of the better backs in the conference to around 75 yds last week. There are some definite soft spots still, but this D is improving quite a bit each week. A little luck and good health and the Rockets will have a very good D by the end of the season. But, we have a long ways to go before this is a typical Toledo defense.
UCF has a young defense this year that was thought to be it's weakness, but it has been pretty strong.
A lot of the points scored against UCF (especially in the ASU game) were when the offense or special teams put the defense in really bad positions.
Heck, 2 TDs in the ASU game and 1 in the WMU game were scored when an INT was run back for a TD.
