I thought Blacksburg was a little backwoodsy itself. I'm surprised to see this from a western Virginia newspaper.

"Jethro-sized?" That's not the last time I'm using that... :-)
There's no place for stereotypes in today's world.

Now get back to that assembly line and finish your car before some hairy-backed woman takes your job! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

Mmmmm...hairy-backed women!
Interesting. King's to blame for that column. After all, he DID write it. But don't they pay somebody good money to read what the columnists write BEFORE it gets printed? You know, like an EDITOR or something? Good judgement on his part, no doubt about it.
And for the record, it's my lousy opinion the spokesman for the paper was wrong. If King's premise was that Marshall didn't belong on the same field, I disagree. Yes, their defense was blown out. No argument there. But MUg's offense held its own. Problem is, it didn't hold the football. They admitted they expected a close game, and that's what it should have been. I still expected a loss, but a close loss. MUg has the offensive talent for it. They just didn't have the poise.
Well said Karl...couldn't agree with you more.
Yeah, what made it look a little bad was the fact that the WRs, outside of Jones, crapped down their legs while the D, with 9 in the box, just got overrun. Talent was there on O, but on D it was no contest.
