Bad news for the Falcons. I wish the players a speedy recovery. Seems like there are more pre-season injuries around the country this year ... but it could just be my imagination.
Not good. This is the sort of depth that MAC teams need to perform at a high level. Take away these guys and you could easily be a notch down.

Definite bummer.
well, we knew about Teague and Grubb but not Jarrett...
Injuries are part of the game...hopefully we will have our depth up to par for the season.
On the other side, now we'll find out what these cats waiting in the wings to play are all about...

7 days to go...GO BG!!
Also, looks like Grubb will definitely be back in time for the MAC opener vs. Ohio U in BG on 10/5.
The Blade article said he will mis 3-4 weeks so hopefully he'll be ready.

I guess its good we only play 3 games in the first 6 weeks. GO FALCONS!!
Just had to jump in here and agree with Motown....I was reading the local rag tonight profiling the matchups for the HS Season which starts tomorrow, and it was unbelievable.... sooooo many kids are hurt this year, even at that level.....maybe it has something to do with the increasing levels of off season conditioning players are going thru.....some of them are so strong, so fast and so ready that they are potentially able to hurt each other sooner...I don't know, it just seems there is more of it this year......good luck to everybody on that front! <img border="0" alt="[Bow]" title="" src="graemlins/bow.gif" />
BTW, to clarify the original post...Teague was the only guy firmly penciled in as a starter. Grubb was slated to back up DJ Owchar on the D line and D'Monn Baker was BG's starting TE most of 2001...Jarrett was the backup. This year Baker and Jarrett were virtually neck and neck for the Starting TE job. Special teams is where Jarrett's absence will be felt.

Still, in a conf needing more depth to continue building success, these losses still hurt. Like I said, hopefully some of our younger D guys will step in for Teague and Grubb and get the job done.
