I love our away jersey, and the home jersey was just tweaked a little.

Thoughts?

My first thought, as an off again, on again spotter for TV and radio is that those road unis will make it hard to pick up numbers for the call. The outline helps, but on grass and in the rain, I bet those are tough. Overall, though, I like the big block numbers and the general look. At least they aren't the nauseating "arena ball" looking uniforms that so many schools are using (yeah, I'm looking at you Redhawks).

I like the gold numbers. They do that at Purdue -- and fans there absolutely hate it.

Between your unis and your nickname, it still seems to me the whole package is a little too close to what they do at Army.

I've also thought the simple "UCF" on the helmets was a little bland.

Aside from that, you guys have good unis.
In my opinion, the white pants would look better on the home uni, and the gold pants would look way more cool on the away.

We did the white on gold away uniforms last year. I wasn't impressed with them.
Yes, very Purdue/Army-ish. Not a bad college uni but not overly impressed. I like the white pants though.
What a novel concept to see a team NOT go with the Bronco's style Uniforms (Miami). Not bad.
Okay...use your best Oliver Stone impression here...

If you look closely at them...they look just like the rocket uniforms!! 04-drinky
Look a little too much like Purdue for my taste, but as others have noted, a nice departure from XFL togs (hey to BG and Toledo). Those stupid shoulder flanks are a trend I could do without, but overall, not bad.

I didn't really think anything was wrong with your uniforms from last year, though. I liked those just fine.

Addidas took over the uniform design this year, so they wanted their own "mark" on the uni's.

I thought our uniforms were great before, but I like these better. The away uniform is outstanding.
Agreed about Purdue - and OH is right, you'll have trouble seeing the numbers at times on the away jerseys. Personally I like our white jersey on black pants combo, and that might look good for UCF too.

I've always liked your home jerseys. And I'm also glad to see UCF didn't go the pajama route and had little hooks and swaths and all kinds of other crap to their jerseys.
Purdue wears gold jerseys. We don't have a gold jersey.
They actually dropped the gold jersey after losing to BG last year. They now wear black jerseys at home, as they did for decades.

Good Lord. Did they view the BG loss as that big of a deal?
I think the new unis look cool; but, as a sidenote--is it just me or are Atari and Alex a whole lot bigger than last year. O'Leary's conditioning must really be paying off.

I couldn't tell through all the hair.

I like the new uni's. I would image a shirt/pants switch on occasion - black jersey with white pants or white jersey with gold pants.

More like a "last straw" sort of thing. Purdue fans hated the gold tops from the get-go (my Purdue grad cousin bitched about them nonstop), the players allegedly didn't like them, and I think Tiller made the change after the BG loss to get some of the disgruntled fans back on his side.

I only saw highlights (I was at the BSU-Missouri game that day), but that looked like a fabulous win for the Falcons...
Honestly, they seem to have (not so suprisingly) a GT look to them.

Yes, off-season (now mandatory) training has already begun to pay-off.

Normally, UCF Football players are given summer "off"...or...if they take classes during the summer...they have to do it on their own dime.

One of the first things O'Leary did this winter/spring when he came to UCF...he told the AD that he wanted ALL his players to live ON-CAMPUS...and to attend Summer School MANDATORY!!

It cost UCF $300,000 to do that...and O'Leary got his wish.

O'Leary told a group of boosters and area business leaders the other night that the spring/summer training has already paid off.

He said players overall improved 35 lbs or so on many workout tests.

He has seen big improvement from when he arrived at UCF since Jan.

However...it could take 2-4 years of year-round training to turn around UCF...but at least O'Leary is doing the right thing...right now.

(Plus, this was the first summer that our new Football Training Facility was opened. It opened up last August. A recent quote from a possible recruit...when asked about UCF...he said "UCF's weight room is even bigger then Univ of Miami, FLA's!!" That was nice to hear!!)
