would you like to see your favorite team play, and why?

Since it is slow in here today, I thought I would try to get things going.

I would like to see Toledo play Marshall because they are one of the top teams and beating them should give your team some respect. Besides with as much smack as the Herd fans give out, who else would you rather beat?

Definately UB without a doubt.
The reasons are obvious.
I know as a Chip that I'm supposed to say Western, but I've got this NIU thing going now, so I'm sticking with it.

WMU Broncos

double NIU Huskies
Well, since we're already playing WMU (and NIU, for Nert), Ohio, who is not on our schedule. We had our most lackluster effort of the season against a temporarily inspired Bobcat team and lost 34-3 on Homecoming . I'd love the chance for a little payback!
Miami! Why, because they are so close and they are Miami. Plus, I live 20 miles from Oxford. Plus, my wife just got her masters from Miami (BSU undergrad'). Plus, just because it's so much fun beating them!

The Toledo Rockets.

After truly awesome displays of our infamous "sieve" defense the past two seasons, it became apparent a change was needed. Our coaching change on the defensive side of the ball will hopefully net immediate, positive returns.

Additionally, last year saw Leftwich's most disappointing pass - an overthrown ball that would have clinched the MACC. And, I was there for the 42-0 game. Per Forrest Gump, "that's all I'm going to say about that." Would love to have an experienced, championship-caliber Herd team face a less-experienced UT squad at the beginning of this season in Huntington. That and a winning Lotto ticket, and I'd be set for a while anyway. Alas, the scheduling gods were kind to Toledo this year, and I'm not holding my breath for that lotto ticket either.

The game is not a "friendly rivalry" (regardless of what Oddball says ) - it's probably Marshall's most fierce rivalry w/n the conference.

The Miami game is a close second. For us oldtimers who remember when Miami owned us (but then again, who didn't?), we can't seem to shake the memory of those defeats. However, the last three years have been very therapeutic.

Tied with Miami is WMU. Never will forget the game in K-Zoo, the MACCs, and the "butt-whoopin" WMU laid on us two years ago.
Marshall!! For some reason, they've been avoiding us for two years in a row. Come on, Herd......come out and play!
Miami.

This will be the first season since 1949 the Falcons won't play Miami. And this is probably the single worst part about moving to the West.
Toledo. By the grace of God the Rockettes will win the west and have to come to Huntington in December.

It won't be pretty.

You should be more ticked about that loss than the one to NIU, even if you did have a lead at half against us.

I'm goin' with the Redskins, er, Redhawks. And BG. We get each this year, and BG for the remainder of eternity, so I should get my fill of those two quickly.

Haven't you herd (get it? "herd" instead of "heard"?), Marshall fans are really big on "Done Deals"?
Marshall is the easy pick but for those not on our schedule I would most like to play BG.
Maybe at the end of the season
Notre Dame, in the MCB. Because only a few schools have winning records against the Irish (Oregon State being among them, hahaha), and I'd like to see BG join that list with a thrashing in Detroit.
I have to say (B)arry (G)ibbs & Company. For some reason, this is always a headbanger! Who ever has the ball last, wins! Love, Fat Punter

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Really, then how come everybody wants to photocopy my driver's license all the time and I have to declare war to keep them from doing it? Don't I have the right to be secure in that paper? Today I had my cable hooked up (to get ready for the football season) and it said SS# (required)on the form I had to fill out to get the service. Ok, so I wrote down a bogus number. Still, why do I no longer have a right to keep my SS# private for such a trivial thing as getting my cable hooked up? Why do I have to get my DL or passport photocopied when I get a job down here in TX to prove I'm an American citizen even though I look, talk, and act 100% American. Then the Mexicans just show some kind of stupid Id they got in Mexico and their OK. My point is that the 4th Amendement is getting trampled on more and more each day and only 3 justices on the SC have the guts to stand up for its true meaning. OH well....I sure love what the 4th says, but it sure doesn't mean what it says. Are my examples frivilous?
I agree with CE above. Back in '80s, some of the best games we had were against the BeeGee's . I'm elated that the Falcons are now in the MAC West.

I must add that we also look forward to welcoming Marshall to Kelly-Shorts Stadium this fall!

FIRE UP CHIPS!
