On the ESPN web-site Chris Fowler previews the Air Force-ND game and further down in his column talks about another group of "Falcons". He goes on to discuss how banged up BG was at CMU and talks of the big upcoming games with WMU, UT, and USF.

My question to BG fans is: How many of these injuries are short-term, or do the Falcons face some season-ending type injuries to key players? What are these key injuries in defense and when will these players be back? 03-confused
Alls (starting RB) is supposed to be out for only 2 weeks. Pope has been a good replacement. They lost a S from the same game and he was supposed to be out 2 weeks as well. I thought one of their pre-season injujred was supposed to return mid-season. That's the extent of my knowledge. The BG News would rather write about snakes.
BG lost 4 starters before the season began...Will Teague, DL, Craig Jarrett, TE, Rob Warren, OL and Andrew Hart, OL.

Joe Alls was injured but is 50/50 for the WMU game. Michael Malone, DB, also suffered a separated shoulder (like Alls) in the Ohio game but is expected back this week. Andy Grubb, DL, broke a bone in his foot in camp but has dressed the last two weeks and should be ready to go. Rick Mauer, DL, in his first extensive playing time, injured his ankle at CMU and is questionable. Jimmy Williams, Starting OL, is out for sure this week with a knee injury and his status is day to day. Jovon Burkes, LB, is 50/50. Luis Llamas, Backup LB, injured his knee and had arthroscopic sugery and is out for an undetermined time.

Jason Morton, DB, is back this week after a hip injury.

So you can see we have some concerns here...BG needs to win the next two weeks at home, get healthy and get ready for the stretch run.

GO FALCONS!!!
I think roughly four players are out for the season, including two that were out before the season began.
