AF loses, BG should move up in the rankings. ND's SoS looks even worse.

IU loses, can anyone from the Big 10 qualify for the MCB now? MSU was always the best choice, but even if they are bowl eligible, will they head to a different game?

The MAC seriously has a shot at 3 bowls this year, too bad Miami didn't beat Iowa, they might very well be the Big 10 champ! (Oh wait, didn't I say that when Iowa won that game weeks ago!)

Yeah, Torch....that would've been great to have beaten the B10 champ twice in the last 7 years, eh?

Speaking of the B10, they do indeed have a serious problem in making sure they can fulfill the MCB bowl slot. Let's look at the contenders, shall we?

* MSU: Got creamed again today by Wisconsin......QB Smoker has been suspended. They are 3-5 with games at Michigan, at IU, at Penn State and home against Purdue. You can "put a fork" in these guys........I just don't see them scrounging up 6 wins.

* Indiana: Really blew it today against a bad Illinois team to fall to 3-5. They have games at NU, at Purdue, and home aginast MSU and Penn State. Not looking good now although I had "penciled" them in for a win against the hapless Illini. Again, I see them beating NU and maybe MSU, but that won't be good enough.

* Purdue: Now 4-5 after winning today. I had written Purdue off, but actually they are a better opponent for the MAC than IU (due to fan base and national reputation), so let's start rooting for the Boilers! They have a home game against the Buckeyes, and then play two big road games against MCB contenders MSU and IU.......if they win those two games they can lose to OSU and they are "Ford Field" bound.

P.S. Forgot to mention that with the win over IU, Illinois (3-5) is technically "in the hunt" for the MCB as well, but must beat OSU and Penn State in all likelyhood to get to 6 wins......ain't gonna happen.

Root for the Boilers....they'd be a good choice for the game and would bring some fans!
