Coincidentally, Saturday is the annual Bobcat "Pick Your Poison" Day.

Choices include:

(a) Luke Clemens and Cal Murray generating 200+ of ground game; or
(B) Ben Roethlisberger just continuing to do his thing.

Enjoy . . . and stop trying to change the subject! (There will be plenty of time for the annual home split and MAC tourney rubber-match in hoops later.)
Ohh! And how are you guys doing in field hockey and badmitton? Care to bring up any other irrelevent sports?
We make more money off of Basketball than Football at Ohio......... That makes basketball relavent.

Hey...just because BUGS has never been to an NCAA Tournament doesn't make B-ball an irrelevant sport. Maybe someday you'll get to have a championship caliber b-ball team...
Gosh, BobcatFan, don't be so harsh on him, just because basketball is irrelevant at BG.
Can't we all just get along?

Checking MAC Basketball attendance in 2001-2002:

<a href='http://ncaa.org/stats/m_basketball/attendance/2002_basketball_attend.pdf' target='_blank'>http://ncaa.org/stats/m_basketball/attenda...ball_attend.pdf</a>

Team Att. Games
1.Ohio 7,145 (13)
2.Ballst 6,708 (14)
3.Kent 4,928 (12)
4.Marsh 4,863 (14)
5.Toledo 4,699 (13)
6.Miami 4,106 (14)
7.BG 3,545 (14)
8.WMU 2,548 (14)
9.CMU 2,435 (13)
10.Akron 2,398 (12)
11.Buffalo 2,387 (12)
12.NIU 2,263 (12)
13.EMU 1,880 (15)

The per game average is lower in than in Football, but you have to consider that you play 12 to 15 home games in basketball. Averaging 5,000 a game in hoops over a 15 game schedule is equivalent to 15,000 on a 5 game schedule revenue wise.

Too harsh? Maybe...but it sure did shut Torch up right quick 03-wink
Bowling Green basketball has been ranked numerous times -- including in the top ten -- and been to several NCAA tournaments.
