...Saturday @ Dix Stadium (cap. 25,100 03-lol )
Should the Flashes win this game, as we loyal fans expect they will, not only would it be the first ever victory over a ranked opponent (not counting beating themselves in a game in 1973), but it also could be the start of a winning streak against BG that could eventually reach 34 in a row, thereby tying the series record, which now stands @ 15-49-6.

I never get tired of seeing that series record.

49-15-6.

Man, that is DOMINATION!

This year, we go for the big 5-0.

When you say longest do you mean "most-played?" Who has the most played? I'm betting Ohio-Miami... right?

How many of the Falcon faithful will be making the trip to KSU this weekend? Just curious as to whether there will be 10K or 5K there. Without the BGers, I am guessing at about 5K since there will be no Cribbs' show.
Yes, the OU-Miami(yawn) series started the year before the BG-KSU series.
We are talking about continuous series. Actually, as the record denotes, this will be the 71st meeting.
We will also be playing for the prestigious "Anniversary Cup" 04-cheers which was instituted in 1985.
Yes, tradition rich Kent State football, which is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its 1972 MAC championship, will be bringing its B- game to Dix Stadium Saturday ready to upend a vastly overconfident Falcon 11. (We do play with 11 in this sport, don't we? I think we'll have 11 there to play. Should we bring more?)

I do know that Bowling Green has played no school more times than Kent State. Toledo is second by -- oh, 15 games maybe.
The always knowledgeable American gamblers have firmly established BG as 17.5 pts favorites.
And the Flashes playing without their best player, scoring no offensive tds in last weeks 16 pt onslaught against UB???...hmmm.
I believe Vegas has been dipping into GB's stash (to refer to another current thread.)

My prediction: KSU 9 --BG 6.

Man, living in Akron is great when BG is at Kent or Akron....

BG will have a good crowd on hand...

I like BG to win 45-17....esp if Cribbs doesn't play. A shame cuz Cribbs and Harris would put on a big time show.

the one thing I always recall is BG has had trouble at Kent numerous times...I don't really know why but they have. Hopefully, BG takes care of biz, stays healthy and gets outta there with a win...

Then over to the Rubber Bowl for Mar/Akron!
