All apologies if this has been mentioned before. Have ya'll noticed how out of whack New York Time's Computer Poll has been in ranking BGSU? This week they have the Falcons ranked 67th. It totally screws up their computer ranking average. The next closest computer ranking has BGSU at 35. So what's up with that? Not that it really matters when looking at the big picture, because BGSU isn't in the running for a NC, but still. BGSU has been in the 60's for the past month in this poll. I'd love to see the program they use to figure these scores.

The BCS throws out the lowest computer ranking, so when BG is the only undefeated, they'll be back in the running. B)
Well thank goodness for that. Dropping the lowest ranking must be called the New York Times Factor. Actually, I think I already knew they dropped the lowest, but forgot.

:D
Yeah, the New York Times Poll is badly biased. If you go to the college football rankings comparison web page, you will notice that the results of @70 ranking systems are listed. The highest and lowest ranking of all the systems is highlighted for each team. The NYT has the most highlighted rankings of any and guess what? They consistently give the highest ranking for such schools as Illinois, Missouri and other mediocre to bad BCS teams while giving the lowest ranking for non-bcs schools like BG and NIU. Go figure. Why hasn't the BCS called them on this? Hmmmmm...... 05-nono
