Hopefully, the other coaches and players in the MAC aren't as focused on the Marshall/Miami game as their fans. But, unlike Hoeppner, my guess is that they would rather watch game film than read posts on the internet from idiots like me. Anywho:
1. Buffalo @ Akron - This should feel like a home game for Buffalo. Big stadium. Few fans. Fortunately, Chryst hasn't put this up for the MAC game of the week.
2. Kent @ CFU - Cribbs isn't playing. Kent is a Buffalo type team without him. The Golden Showers keep their slim MAC East title hopes alive with this one. Kent continues the downward spiral. (At least I don't think CFU is mathmatically eliminated. I could be wrong).
3. Ohio @ Bye - Bye's weak secondary opens up the passing attack for the bobkitties and they actually gain 25 yards through the air.
4. Testicle Tech @ CMU - Ummmmm, I can't think of a single thing to say about this absolutely meaningless game.
5. BG at USF - An OOC game late in the season is quite unusual but, here it is. BG has a chance to beat a good team and keep themselves in the top 25. This game has all the makings of a blowout one way or the other. (Of course, given my prognostication history, I have just ensured that this one will go down to the wire). Will BG come out with renewed vigor after the heartbreaking loss to NIU or will they concede the season? Championship teams never concede a damn thing and we'll find out whether or not Urban's team still has the fire.
6. EMU @ Northern - Pray tell. What is the difference between playing EMU and playing Bye? NIU will sleepwalk through this game because they are looking ahead to Toledump. Still, since EMU will oblige NIU by actually pretending to be asleep, the movement generated by NIU during their somnambulism will be enough to win the game although not enough to cover the spread.
7. Toledump @ WMU - There will be very little difference between this game and the EMU/NIU "matchup." I hate to see WMU fall so far down because, two years ago, they appeared to have a very strong program and their future appeared bright. Now, they are merely the 2nd strongest directional Michigan program. A victory here would help to salve a lot of wounds but, barring a total Rockette collapse, it just ain't gonna happen.
