Lots of information. Also notes that the only two MAC coaches not attending Detroit media function were the two folks from our soon departing members.
Pruett is attending a funeral.

Actually Pruett is in Kentucky for a close friend's funeral. No idea about O'Leary, but he did do phone interviews Monday night with the media.
Hey Torch. Would you like to call the family of the man whose funeral Pruett is attending and tell them how funny his death is?

No, it's not funny.
DETROIT -- A vast majority of Mid-American Conference football coaches prefer to play the 2004 league championship game on a neutral field.
Head coaches of 11 of Marshall’s 13 MAC rivals opted for a neutral site when asked for their preference Tuesday during MAC Football Media Day. First-year Eastern Michigan coach Jeff Genyk abstained and Central Florida coach George O'Leary attended a previously scheduled speaking engagement on Tuesday.
Marshall coach Bobby Pruett was also absent from the media day activities. Pruett was in Lexington, Ky., for the funeral of prominent Marshall fan
A little context please, before you roast Torch.
If you read the original, linked article, the Ann Arbor columnist himself is questioning Pruett's absence. Note the quotes around the word "serious":
Coincidence? You decide
Neither Central Florida coach George O'Leary nor Marshall coach Bob Pruett attended
media day Tuesday. They were the only absent head coaches.
They also happen to be coaches of two schools that will leave the MAC and join Conference USA at season's end.
MAC assistant commissioner Gary Richter said O'Leary, who was available for phone
interviews Monday night, had a scheduling conflict that prevented him from coming to Detroit. Pruett reportedly was called out of town to attend to a "serious" family matter on Monday.
I don't blame them for not going and a funeral is certainly a valid reason. Marshall's AD showed up and was told he wouldn't be needed for the meetings and pretty much turned around and headed home. While I don't have a problem with the MAC moving the championship game to a neutral site, I think Chryst or one of his flunkies could have the decency to call Marcum and tell him their desire not to include him at the meetings.
I hope this season does not deteriorate into a big pissing contest.
Here's a couple articles in today's Buffalo News for those that care.

MacLord, my jab was at CUSA, not Pruett's schedule.
Whatever the author was implying is his business. I had <a href='http://www.ncaabbs.com/forums/mac/invision/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=11746' target='_blank'>this thread</a> more in mind.
Sorry all. Go ahead and roast Torch!
