I'm watching football today and the announcers are talking about teams like Michigan State and Wisconsin making or being eligible for a bowl game.

There is a major problem with this picture.
They are talking about teams that will be 6-6 or 7-5.
save bowl tradition? This is a joke. It's not about the best teams, it's about the teams that are the most popular.

Hey NCAA! Make a statement and change the requirments to be eligible for bowl games to needing aleast 8 wins

For bowl requirements, I would like to see this:

at least 7 wins in 11 game seasons
at least 8 wins in 12 or more game seasons

I fully agree.

Although I would allow one small tweak to that...

A 7-5 team can be allowed, but only when every 8+ win team available have been assigned to a bowl. And, likewise, 6-6 teams can be allowed only if every 7-5 team available has been assigned to a bowl.
