Are they overlooking EMU or is it just an emotional letdown after a big, emotional victory against BG?
If they lose I don't think it would matter in the grand scheme of things because they still have to beat Toledo next week. This is kind of like MU-Akron.
It matters to BG. NIU must lose their last two MAC games for BG to have a chance to win the west. :rolleyes:

Good point. The score is 14-7 NIU now though. It is asking a lot of EMU to beat them, but it is possible......just not likely.
I guess it doesn't matter anymore......

There's really something wrong with the way we do things if BG wins out and gets screwed ala Toledo 2000. To be perfectly honest, I don't want BG in the MACC because I want the Rockets to be there. But if they win out I hope that they get a bowl. It'll be deserved.
You think BG deserves it more than a "great" team like Wisconsin or maybe Purdue?
Yes. Wisconsin and Purdue are not great first of all. Michigan just beat Wisconsin. The Badgers have to beat Minnesota next week to be bowl eligible. MSU leads Purdue 36-31 in the 4th Qtr right now. WMU almost beat Purdue earlier in the year.
BG is definitely better than either of those 2 teams!

They will. Their overall record and ranking will make them a better draw than Miami for a bowl this year, assuming we win out and Miami doesn't get in the MACC. This assumes three bowls. If we squeak into four bowls, there could possibly be 3 MAC West teams bowling and one East. If Toledo doesn't win the MAC West then I think Miami would get the nod over Toledo. The real crap is that we have so many bowl eligible teams and so few bowls.
Whoever goes to the MACC between Toledo and NIU will be in a bowl game. If BG beats S. Fla tonight they should go to a bowl too. Marshall would be the other if they beat Ohio.
