That was easily the 2nd best rocket game I have ever seen, next to last year's title game! NIU was as good as advertised. It's too bad Tait's record had to fall, but Turner is an excellent back. When it was 17-0 I was thinking about turning it off, because nothing was going right for us. The team showed excellent poise to come back in a hostile environment. Once we got the lead, I had no doubts we would find a way to win. Talk about a sweet finish! If BG somehow beats us, I have no problem with NIU representing the MAC in the title game and Motor City Bowl.
If BG beats EMU and Toledo, won't there be a 3-way tie in the west division? How does it work then?
BG is already out of the race. If they win out, both NIU and BG will be 7-1. NIU has the tiebreaker because they beat BG.

If Toledo beat BG there would only be a 2-way tie between BG and NIU becase Toledo already has 1 MAC loss against Miami. All MAC games count this year!
Sorry BG, you have no chance of playing in the MAC Championship game.

Congrats to Toledo - your team showed the heart of a defending champion.
We played your run pretty well, allowing mostly only two big runs and some QB scrambles. But your big plays proved the difference - you made some, and we didn't (outside of Sheldon's punt return).
Your defensive gameplan was excellent, and while Turner got great yardage, we had a hard time putting the ball in the end zone and had to kick FGs.
The Huskies made a great run this year, and still have a chance at the title game - I hate having to root for BG, though!
Rockets - if you finish the season winning @ WMU, @NIU and vs BG, you deserve to win the West and are the best representative of the West against Marshall.
Dan, regardless of who wins next week, the West will be well represented.
All I can tell for sure is that the next MAC Champ is comming out of the West division.
We've all seen games played at Homer High and how "strange" things happen down there. A safer statement might be that we all know that the best team will come out of the West.
