I went to the game last night. Blackshear is in his "range" when he gets about 30 feet from the basket. Marvin Black looks really good!!

All the reserves got a lot of playing time last night.
Miami is 0-2 against Purdue and Maryland.

Did Pruett make you OOC basketball schedule, too? 03-wink *DUCKING*
We play two cupcakes early. We don't have another easy game until February 15th when we go play a team who has a top returning player named Judy Johnson. :D

Anyway Dodo....you guys have two killer games coming up. Ohio Dominican and Wright State.

I went inside your basketball arena when The HERD and Miami hooked up in football last year. Very impressed!!!!!

Wright State is a good program. Look 'em up. Horizon League is not bad. Didn't the Herd have talks with them in September? Isn't that your "dream conference"? 03-wink

Ohio Dominican -- OK, I'll grant you that.

However, we have Xavier (#11), Dayton, UC (#21), and Butler coming up, too.

Coupled with our Purdue and Maryland games, I'd say that qualifies as a pretty touch OOC schedule, wouldn't you?
Dream Conference?? 04-drinky 03-lol I hope not!!

Yes, you guys have a pretty rough OOC schedule. Good luck!
After a slim loss to Princeton, the Broncos have enjoyed victories over UC-Irvine and Fordham.

Saturday we play at Michigan, which may be worse than all three of those aforementioned opponents. 03-lol

But having said that, I always get nervous playing them. On the hardwood, I enjoy beating UM even moreso than CMU.
Michigan's still playing basketball?

Who knew?
Meeeshigan took an ofer down in a 3 game tourney in the V.I. that ended yesterday. Got hammered by everyone. Kan.State crushed them and UT pounded KSt!

As I noted late summer, Miami has the toughest OOC sched. in the MAC this year. But then again, it doesn't really help you if you get pounded like the Hawks did at Boiler-town Friday. The MD game was only 14 points, but MD was awful in that game, probably for a variety of reasons. Plus, the game wasn't really in much doubt by halftime, the way the teams were playing.
Miami needs to play the rest of the tough part of their sched. close or even win a couple to make this schedule not seem like a mistake. I really thought the RH's would be a lot better than they've showed so far. They may be, but are painting themselves quickly into a "win the MAC Tourney or go home" corner. Be no at-large bid with an ugly OOC record. C'mon Hawks-how about some quality wins for the MAC! 05-nono

The Herd have Rutgers this week. That's an interesting game that will show their relative strength--Rutgers just beat Temple and except for a brain-dead 5 minutes would have beaten UNC in C.H. Can Greg-boy finally get the best of Gary W.??? 03-wink
