Congrats to Toledo as well.. The Rockets definitely represented well. If only that team would learn exactly when games start and stop showing up late in the 1st Half..

Oh well, Congrats again to the Thundering Herd.. It was controversal (again.. as always with MU), but in the end they got the W (was there really any doubt? MU has gotten some unbeliveable luck I don't know how many times these past few seasons since joining the MAC and possibly beforehand as well while in I-AA)..

WE OWN THE MAC
you know, you make it very hard to be gracious in defeat.
Luck has had a lot to do with MU winning more than just one or two of their MAC East or MACC Titles.. (I'm not saying MU isn't a quality team)..

It's not as if MU has been stomping MAC teams by an average of 30 points or something and destroying opponents come MACC time, keep that in mind. You're not that far ahead of the pack as I think you want to believe.
I'm sure luck plays alot in any ball game played.....unless you have Miami Fla going up against Mary's School of the Athletically challenged.

I'm sure it was just luck when we beat FUC. You seem to have all the answers. Actually, you sound like a broken record.

You told us UCF would beat Marshall and everyone else this year. Marshall won. Now you say wait until next year. Well, that's what we'll do....wait until next year.

We just had a game against a very good Toledo squad. I'm still thinking about that game and not much on MU/FUC, other than to make this post.

Let's just wait until next year and then maybe you can back up some of those funny statements you make.
Good luck and Bad luck happens to every team in every game.

Good teams find a way to win.

The 2002 MACC had two good teams. It is sad that someboady had to lose.

You Knight fans talk about being the favorite next year...............I'm telling ya now that Toledo will be very strong next year(if QB situation works out).

I really feel bad for the Knight players becuae you guys put so much pressure on that team to win it is just sickening.
I guess when UCF sports a losing record 2003, you all will get out the guns and make Orlando the murder capital of the USA.(taking title from Tampa Bay)
It is amazing how positive UCFers are on this MAC board about their team. Becuase all I see on ucfsports.com is hopelessness and despair.
Like I said Before...............PLAY FOR SOMETHING FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN CRY ABOUT LOSING IT.
get'em next year Knights. get'em next year. 04-cheers
Please quit hating on my HERD.
It's good to be the KING. 04-cheers
Don't be mad  just have a 04-drinky and go visit mickey mouse and then go to the beach 03-cool
Leave the football to us.
Luck didn't put you in position to win the MAC title. However, every good team needs a little luck to get them all the way to the promised land...it's not really a slam on Marshall, or on Toledo, it's just the way it tends to go.

For example, UT goes for it on 4th down around midfield....Jones fumbles. The ball doesn't fall to a Marshall player on the ground, it gets returned for a TD. It's a bit of luck that allows that to be a TD rather than just a change of possession. Same with the interference call....by the letter of the law, it was defensive holding (it was a penalty by the writing of the rules). However, it did not have any bearing on the pass - it wasn't going to get to the WR anyways. Also, I think you can argue that if you were on the road, you may not get that call. That's not a Marshall homer, that's just your normal homefield advantage that most every team in America enjoys. Another - Keon Jackson drops a sure, easy INT prior to any of that interference situation occuring.

None of these items take anything away from your title. Some luck is always necessary to winning. You weren't a "lucky" team to win the title, it just helped in a couple situations.
