Both teams really put on a show today and there were no losers. The Rockets just didnt quite score enought points. They played like the Champions they are and deserve major kudos. I know my buddies Karl and Stkn are dissapointed BUT they have nothing to hang their heads over. Great game by two great programs.
So far....it has been the best game thus far today..
Navy/Army - Blowout
Miami(FL)/Va Tech - Blowout and Shootout
Georgia/Arkansas - Being Blown Out
Wazzu/UCLA - Blowout
I would be AMAZED if the MACC Game was NOT the Showcase for tonights Sportscenter

Toledo did play like champions. Except for #57 - what a low-class piece of sh**. The rest of the Rockets team should hold their heads high, though.
I know #57's name (easy to look up on the NCAA web site), but it would be wrong to post it. Just curious, however - did anyone notice if Amstutz had the integrity to send #57 directly to the showers?

I'm not saying the shot was cheap, but it wasn't neccesary. As for the Marshall player who got ejected, he was just trying to protect his QB which we all agree is commendable. Don't let one controvertial play spoil a great game.
Why go tell your boy Leftwich, instead of being a baby and putting his hands up - he oughta put his shoulder down and get ready to take a hit....you should know that every defensive player gets taught to kill the QB on a interception

None of the replays showed that! It was sort of a tough call, considering it WAS A CLEAN BLOCK, but it was a hit that wasn't necessary. That is why it was correctly called as unnecessary roughness. Now if Leftwich would have taken a step... that would have been another matter. As for being pissed at that Toledo player, that is unnecessary as well.
Cheap shot or not, it was a legal play. Ward is a class guy and 1st team all MAC for a reason. Not to mention 2nd team academic all-american with a 3.9 GPA in mechanical engineering. What would you do, stand there and watch Leftwich? Those are the kind of hits that you play for. It was no worse than Leftwich posing for the camera on the last 2 scores. Lighten up.

but what I saw was a clean hit straight up on BL--the play is on you gotta be ready to hit and be hit until the whistle blows--he's not a QB once the D picks off the ball, he's a tackler;
and a clear hold on UT's defender on the interference call.
I also saw one of the most entertaining games of the year.
Yes there was a loser and it was TOLEDO, with the rest of the MAC coming in a close second.

Even when we won last year I never really "dished it out". Maybe sometimes I would make reference to the title with pride, but I never really talked trash. Unless you are on the team, I don' t see the point of trash talk. You are probably some fat slob who never played in an athletic event in his life. Unless you want to count "loving yourself". You are probably an all-american in that.

That was not a helmet to helmet shot. Gardner blocked Leftwich, nothing more. If he was going to take an cheap shot intentionally, I would think he would have gone for the leg, but he didn't. It wasn't a cheap shot. Check your tape of the game...when the ref threw the flag both he and Jeudy protested the call IMMEDIATELY. That was no act. Nice job by the OLineman sticking his nose into it and getting himself and Jeudy ejected too.
